Very quiet area, bus stop 3 minutes walk (Rinella) 20 minutes Valletta, 2 shops nearby. Local beach 6 minutes walk, there is also a snack bar. The apartment is very well equipped, comfortable, the terrace has a fantastic view. The host is helpful, the communication is excellent.I recommend it to everyone

When we've booked our stay at Villa Del Porto, we thought that we would live in a place with a nice view, but, it turned out that we got way more than that: 1 - The most important thing that I would like to point out, is the attitude and hospitality of the owners! They are friendly, helpful and very nice people in general. We've had multiple interesting conversations regarding Malta, the local climate and the surrounding infrastructure, and the owner even suggested a couple of interesting places to visit when we've talked about our planned routes for the day. 2 - The view from the balcony is just stunning. Our room had a marvellous view on the city of Birgu and a quiet bay full of yachts. We could even see a little bit of Valletta from there. We've travelled to many places in Malta during our stay, but this view and the calm atmosphere will definitely be the one that we will associate Malta with. The same view, but a little higher is also available on the terrace, which is open for all guests 24/7. 3 - Kalkara (the city that the hotel is located in) doesn't have much shops or tourist attractions. At first we thought that this would be a problem during our vacation, but it turned out that this was for the best. Because of this, Kalkara has calm and relaxing atmosphere, where You can spend some time just enjoying the moment without any distractions. There are a couple of small local shops and restaurants on the same street, just 200 meters away from the hotel, which is more than enough in case if You feel hungry. 4 - Despite the stunning view and the surrounding atmosphere, our stay at Villa Del Porto was not expensive at all, when comparing to other places at the same time period. So our stay had very good value for money.

The staff is very nice and helpful. The hotel is new and clean. The breakfast was truly delicious 😋 The only thing we didn't like was that it was difficult to locate the entrance. Taxi drivers were constantly getting lost. On our way to the airport, 2 drivers gave up, and only the third one arrived.

Kalkara is nice as it's in the old part of the city - but Malta as a whole has become over-commercialised and personally I wouldn't go back. The beaches are rock in the main so if you want sandy beaches maybe look elsewhere.

A lovely property on the beautiful harbour of Kalkara. Walking distance to many places. Modern, spacious and home from home. The property was beautifully decorated. Nicholas our host was responsive, accommodating and extremely helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay and would definitely return to harbour pearl.

Our flight arrival was delayed till the early hours of the morning but the host was understanding and there was no problem gaining entry to the apartment. Location was great, in a residential area but within walking distance of restaurants in Kalkara and Birgu, buses and the boat to Valletta.
