The boardwalk, swimming areas and waterfront restaurant selection was great! Stunning sunsets over the bay. However: The 4 wheeler tours are horribly loud and disruptive to the peaceful atmosphere as they drive through the village several times daily. Xlendi is a very pretty cove, which has an amazing impact as soon as you see it. There is a shallow end perfect for young children. The bars and restaurants are literally on the sea front so you can sit and have a drink and watch the family in the water. Although there is not much sand at the front the easy access ladders from the rocks at the side more than make up for that. Because of the rocks it is brilliant for snorkeling. We love Xlendi which we use as a base and travel or walk the island. Most restaurants are good and some are special. Not suitable for just a beach holiday although, good for swimming and diving. The ice cream beside the hotel was super. The restaurants I tried (out of season ) were very good). I loved the fresh fish and would liked to have seen the fish on show with an individual euro price for each. It’s the genuine way forward. I liked Terszzo but expensive for what they produced but of course I realize I was paying for that delightful view. I used the bus and that was really good value. Xlendi is a beautiful village by the sea. I was there for the second time. It is worth staying there for a few days, go to the watchtower by the sea for sunset, walk to the small cave by the water. Eat seafood in one of the restaurants by the bay.Guest review byja_MarthaPoland - 8.0

My husband and I are senior travelers and although he is fit, I have mobility issues. I found the local people so helpful and courteous, helping me up and down steps to shops, restaurants, etc. I recommend getting a taxi to Xlendi - we got one from Valletta and it was about 35 euro including tip. There are five or six restaurants along the sea front and a few shops. The restaurants were all good, and we especially liked the Moby Dick just downstairs from our apartment. If one is there to write or paint this is a good place to come but if one wants to lie on the beach there are better options. We spent two days there and that was plenty. We then hired a guide to take us around Gozo which took about 5 hours with stops at all the right places and then the taxi took us straight to our ferry. The taxi with a guide was about 120 euros but saved time and energy and was great fun with no hassle.Guest review byCostalottaUnited States

Fabulous location, really lovely staff and great service. The sea-view rooms have amazing views of the beautiful bay. There are plenty of places to eat and drink and a short bus trip or taxi into Rabat/Victoria. Great breakfasts included and a really nice restaurant in the evening; we ate in the hotel two of the 4 evenings we were in Xlendi just because it was such a nice, relaxing place with great, friendly service.
