The team, particularly Diana at front desk, were so great. Very accomodating and attentive. They helped us coordinate transport around San Miguel and were also very tuned into our needs. They did a phenomenal job and would be a reason to return to the hotel. The room was great, fantastic linens and great bed.

Our family had a fabulous trip to San Miguel. Casa 1810 was a perfect location to explore not only the city center but the outer area too that aren't so touristy. The people of San Miguel are warm and kind, very safe and very very clean. The hotel was helpful arranging car service to the airport and helped us with restuarant reservations. My kids are 21 and twins 17 we had seperate rooms that were next to each other. The hotel provided bottle water at our request everyday. The breakfast is a variety and kept us satifsfied until dinner. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. It was our first time to San Miguel and staying at a hotel was easier than an Airbnb. It felt authentic with native speakers and a real immersion for our family. They arranged a care to and from the airport that was on time. Thank you to this wonderful city. We hope to be back and enjoy more of the rooftop sunsets. I highly recommend New Years they know how to celebrate. The fireworks were amazing, like nothing I have every seen. So glad my kids got to experience. Thank you 1810 Casa for everything.

Completely charming town with spectacular architecture.

Completely charming town with spectacular architecture. Not as over-touristed as we expected and easy to get around. Our visit was during the Fiera (Festival) and there were processions and a major concert on the plaza. Food choices are endless in all price ranges. None of the restaurants we went to were crowded. Uber was readily available and very inexpensive. Highly recommend taking the bus (we used ETN) instead of driving in. The parking is very limited in the central core.

Loved my time in SMA, was there for a week with a group of friends. We did a Walking Tour with Follow Me Tours (Jalal is the best tour guide I've ever had, anywhere, high praise I know, but try to book with her if you can). We went to the Botanical Gardens and would highly recommend a trip there. Dos Buhos for a tour of a vineyard and wine tasting is hard to beat. La Aurora is very cool - it was a fabric factory and is now this very awesome collection of shops, art galleries and sculptures. There are also restaurants. And we went to Los Senderos which is more of a beach club if you're into something a little fancy for an afternoon. They have paddle boarding and different pools to swim in, and it was relaxing and lovely. Did not make it to La Gruta for hot springs, but heard it's great, next time (I will be back)! But mostly you'll want to walk around Zona Centro, the heart of San Miguel de Allende. There's always something happening. While we were there there was a food festival and there were also many artists displaying artwork and vendors with beautiful jewelry. The people we met were so warm and wonderful. It's a very special city, cobblestone streets and incredible architecture. You definitely feel like you're in a little European town, but with the beautiful Mexican culture flowing everywhere.

The people are the biggest attraction.

The people are the biggest attraction. They are friendly and will go out of their way if you do not speak Spanish. Politeness and patience are given and expected. Condescending Americans offend their gentle and accepting spirit. We spent a week, and it was a lifetime too short.

San Miguel de Allende has existed since the 1400s, so there is no shortage of rich history here. From the narrow and winding cobblestone streets to the beautiful architecture and art, to some of the friendliest people I've ever met, San Miguel de Allende is among one of the most amazing places I've had the pleasure to visit.

The main draw is the town square where the Church is located. If you give yourself 3 hours you can see it all. Not much else, just shops and restaurants. Most people are ex pats or weekenders parading around in their country club best. Go to Guanajuato instead!

I have taken several groups of friends to San Miguel de Allende for several years. Each hotel has lacked in some area but this one was good in every area. It is charming with attention to detail. All of the plants and sitting areas are delightful. It is a 2 block walk to the main square and it is relatively flat. The breakfast is good. There are rooms on the main level if anyone has mobility issues. I will be using this hotel again when I take groups. My groups are small. Never more than 12 people.

Excellent escape in San Miguel de Allende, walking distance (20-30min) to historical center. Easy to reach the Bus station and center by bus too (only 6 pesos). Near by a shopping mall and restaurants. Room was very clean and with nice interior. Perfect temperature in the room. Big and clean shared bathroom. Simple but very delicious breakfast was like a cherry on the top of the cake - Kellogg's, fruits, yogurt, coffee and strawberry marmalade. Highly recommended.

It was my second time at La Catrina Hostel. It’s’ an excellent choice for any low budget traveler…just a few walking minutes to El Jardin Allende in the city center, very friendly staff, good continental breakfast, a quiet and very clean place. Special thanks to Alexis at the reception. He is an amazing friendly and helpful person. I’ll definitely stay at La Catrina Hostel again the next time I’m in San Miguel de Allende!
