Beautiful, clean, not much traffic jam even though during holiday season, beautiful landscaping around waterfront of Sungai Raja, Dataran Alor Setar which is so happening at night and nice scenery during day time, beautiful historical building and great history for you to explore. Masjid Zahir is a must visit spot. Don't forget to visit Paddy Museum and Kota Kuala Kedah too.

Average Malaysian town.
Average Malaysian town. Not much to do other than a couple museums/art gallery. I'm there to visit family, but would not go out of my way to take a holiday there. Ramadan bazaar was a highlight, though.

Nice place the Hotel located in the city near to shopping mall and historical places and Alor Star Tower. u can find all the delicious food, its amazing and most important thing price is cheaper than other state. value for money to visit

Alor Star is a pleasant regional centre with some fine public buildings and an interesting old quarter. The open space in the centre of town with the Zahir mosque on one side and various royal buildings and museums on the other provides some excellent photo opportunities. There is a surprising amount of street art, some of it very good, and a pleasant canal-side walk starting in the centre of town. I came across an excellent night food market with stalls offering a range of local and international dishes.
The Kedah Paddy Museum is billed as one of the attractions of Alor Setar, but I found it a bit disappointing. It is a long way out of town; if you don't have your own transport, getting a taxi or Grab back to the centre could be a lottery.

We enjoyed our lunch at Gulai Temenung Tok Piah Claypot located at Kuala Kedah. Restoran Kak Milah Jitra Kedah has variety of dishes for lunch with gulai ikan keli and ikan bakar. We had our dinner at Man & Milah Medan Selera Ikan Bakar which also located at Jitra, Kedah

I like to stay in Alor Setar because there is so many...
I like to stay in Alor Setar because there is so many interesting place to go and explore. The food is so delicious and cheap. the pupils so kind and helpfull. The paddy view is so nice and i will come back again.

The location is very convenient to amenities. Just behind Aman Central, walking distance to food options and shopping. Although the hotel is right smack in town, Alor Setar is a laidback city so no noise distraction while staying in the room. Room and general area of the hotel are clean. There is water station on each floor so bring your own water bottle.
Staff at reception counter is also very polite and helpful.

The room was very cozy and comfortable. The bathroom was very spacious and clean, water heater working well and the water pressure was super amazing! The staff also was very friendly and helped us with a smooth check-in and check-out. We really had a pleasant stay over here, would really be glad to stay here next time we are in Alor Setar again. Keep up the good job!

The hotel is walking distance to Aman Central and famous attractions in Alor Setar. Amazingly with just the rate of RM120, the room is big and comfortable. The toilet is super clean and I think they refurnish the hotel. Overall, I’m satisfied!
