Perlis is so underrated, it is clean and roads are well maintained, way too nice compared to other West Malaysian state. I would love to come back again to Perlis. The cleanest state in Malaysia thus far. Every house and every commercial entity has a green bin. Hardly see litter strewn about. A very green state with lots of nature to go to. Enjoy the long drives into hills. But do check ahead when visiting places of interests as they may be closed. We had the thrill of just driving up to the Thai borders. The Wang Kelian View Point is a MUST - by far the best view. Good choice of food at the jetty for ferry to Langkawi. Nature lovers will appreciate the scenic views of mangroves, the iconic Masjid Al-Hussain (the “Floating Mosque”), and nearby attractions such as Perlis State Park. The area also serves as a gateway to Langkawi and Thailand, making it a strategic stop for travelers. However, the accommodation options could be improved. While there are basic hotels available, upgrading the quality of lodging would enhance the overall experience for visitors.
