Jan is a fantastic friendly host who we enjoyed getting to know a little. Location right in the harbour was awesome. Loved seeing the boats come in and out of the harbour from the sunny wheelhouse. Plus step off and you're right in the old town. The boat was immaculate and well equipped with all we needed. The steps typically steep dutch we got used to. Cosy beds. Not so good if you have mobility problems. Fortunately we didn't! Jan took us for a boat trip (extra cost naturally) which was great fun! We loved every minute of our stay. Thank you Jan!

My recent stay at De Kamer was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that Ilse and Jan had poured their hearts into creating a welcoming and enchanting haven for their guests. The attention to detail in every aspect of our stay was simply remarkable. The room was beautifully adorned, boasting a perfect balance of comfort and elegance. It was clear that Ilse and Jan had thought of every little touch to ensure a truly memorable experience. Their warm and genuine hospitality was what truly made the stay exceptional. Isle and Jan greeted us with smiles that made us feel instantly at home. They took the time to get to know us, offering valuable insights into the local area and suggesting hidden gems to explore. The tranquil ambiance of De Kamer combined with the heartfelt hospitality of Ilse and Jan, created an unforgettable experience that exceeded all expectations. I cannot thank them enough for making our stay so special. If you are looking for a charming retreat with hosts who go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, look no further than De Kamar.     Enkhuizen has a rich history, monuments, museums and...

    Enkhuizen has a rich history, monuments, museums and adventures to show it. We took walks along the harbor, the canals and even a park created around social housing from around 1900, fascinating! The town is a pearl. There are many nice restaurants to enjoy. Everything was an easy walk away from our accommodation near the harbor.

    It is a very characteristic place, with beautiful old buildings and narrow streets! I was just on my way through so I couldn't see the museum etc. but just driving through it, already was very nice.

    Enkuizen is a beautiful place to visit for us.

    Enkuizen is a beautiful place to visit for us. We had a great meal at Restaurant De 80 and the staff were very friendly. Clearly a popular place as it was fully booked where nearby places were nearly empty.

    Fascinating place, with plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants. The town houses the Zuiderzee Museum, which is well worth a visit. The town centre is very picturesque with old renovated houses. We took our bikes and used them a lot whilst there, but walking is perfectly feasible.

    Very picturesque old town and harbours Very much still a vibrant living town but beautifully preserved too Cycling or walking north along the dyke gives great views of the water on one side and into the local agriculture and way of life on the land side The passenger ferry across the IJsselmeer gives a gentle day out to Friesland
