A tidy and relaxed town.
A tidy and relaxed town. We liked the mining museum, which was unpretentious but well-presented and very-well explained in English/German/Dutch by a local guy with connections to the industry. The other big draw is the Roman baths (extensive unearthed foundations of the whole complex, nicely presented inside a large modern warehouse structure). Later that night, the hotel staff messaged me to let me know that a security team member noticed my car was still running with the lights on. They kindly turned off the engine and informed me. When I saw the message the next morning and went to check the car, everything was perfectly fine. Nothing was missing or damaged. Huge thanks to the hotel staff for their help!
