I love this city, it's my favourite place I have been to in the Netherlands (so far). The city centre is very walkable, despite it not being flat (highly unusual in the Netherlands!). Plenty of cultural sights, and things to do. Easily accessible by train with great connections all over the country. You can easily spend a few hours, or even a whole day, at the river beach (Waalstrandje) when the weather is nice. There are a few shopping streets, personally I like the Lange Hezelstraat with its record shops, gift shops, and vintage clothing stores, or if you like the high street shops then the Broerstraat is the place to go. The Grote Markt and old town area is full of small streets with little shops, cafes, and bars. For me it was worth visitting Nijmegen because I was going to meet with friends there. However, I was impressed by the Vierdaagsefeest. It ended up being very fun and the city is quite nice and cozy. Unfortunately it was raining hard when we walked around the city but I guess in clement weather it would have been a more enjoyable experience. The market square was bustling and the options to eat and drink there were many. If you like coffee and cake I would recommend the Dutch apple cake which is available at most of the bars and the cafes and if you sit outside under the heated awnings are all good spots to watch the world go by!Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Good amount of space, nice shower, kitchen had everything you could need for a city trip or even a bit longer stay. You can darken the sleeping room very well. The garden is really lovely and would have been a nice place to drink something if it wasn't raining so badly.
