We had a wonderful stay. Staff was very nice and welcoming. They have a tour guide which is there every morning to answer questions and suggest tours. You can book personalized tours. Breakfast was really nice and dinner excellent. We loved it!!

Fantastic house, with a very well equipped kitchen and an amazing cabin with a barbeque/fireplace. The house is located in a great location in the middle of Lofoten Islands which is ideal if you want to have day trips around different spots. The seaview is breathtaking, especially watching the sunrise from the deck or the Northern lights above the sea at night. The ultimate bonus was seeing the dolphins from the bridge nearby on an early hike. Overall, a beautiful spot and a cozy place with very friendly hosts who were very accommodating and provided us with useful info and tips. I would definitely recommend and would go back without a second thought!

The house is beautifully organised and equipped with everything you could ever need — and then some! Ballstad is a pituresque fishing village surronded by mountains. It's located right in the center of Lofoten which makes it a great base for those we want to explore the archipelago. Buksnes church is charming and a must see. Also it's near to Leknes where you can find a lot of stores and supermarkets. Ballstad will have a special place in our hearts as it was where we saw the most fantastic Aurora show which we were expecting for so long.

Perfect location in the center of the Lofoten Islands.

Perfect location in the center of the Lofoten Islands. We were able to take day trips to the north and south without having to relocate. The location outside of Leknes had easy access to the main road, gas and restaurants if not eating at our hotel - Hattvika Lodge.

There's not a lot to do in Ballstad plus I felt the view...

There's not a lot to do in Ballstad plus I felt the view from the lodge was just okay. It is on the water but overlooks a cod fishing plant which is authentic but there are other towns whereby the view is in a fjord and much nicer to look out to. Ballstad is convenient as it is a good midway point for the Lofoten Islands but I would recommend other towns to stay in for views and shops and cafes.

Very small town with limited hotel and dining options. You visit Norway for the scenery but driving into Ballstad was one of the least scenic roads we were on. No compelling reason too visit or stay.

We loved Villa Ballstad! Since we were the only guests at that time, we got an upgrade to a very nice room with balcony (where we were able to watch Northern Lights from bed!). This was already at the beginning of the stay very attentive from the hosts. The whole living area is really nice, the kitchen is quite big and offers everything we needed. We were also able to use the sauna, which was really nice :) We can just imagine that staying here in summer would be magnifique as well! Thanks a lot for a lovely time!

The staff at this hotel is incredibly friendly, caring, and attentive to every request. They truly go out of their way to make sure you feel comfortable and taken care of. The lodges are absolutely fantastic. Sitting by the large windows, reading a book while taking in the stunning view, was one of the most relaxing and memorable experiences I’ve had. The peaceful atmosphere and the beautiful surroundings make it the perfect place to unwind. Well done to the team—an unforgettable stay!

Brand new, tastefully designed apartment with well equipped kitchen, an outside terrace right along the waterside, and a really nice view on the bay of Ballstad harbour. With Ballstad being quite centrally located halfway the Lofoten archipel, the location is perfect for a longer stay in the Lofoten region. We were there for a week and would have liked to stay longer. If we would go back to the Lofoten, we would not hesitate a second to stay here again.

Nice little hotel right on the water. Our room was small but had very comfortable beds and a nice bathroom. A plus was that just outside the room there was a small kitchen which was great for preparing breakfast by ourselves. The hotel is in a very quiet area and is in the perfect location for exploring the surroundings.
