The staff was amazing. They put on an evening meal which is extra but definitely worth it. The food was excellent and was served by the owners daughter. During the meal she told us all stories about the history of the hotel and about the professional chefs that work there. She even gave us a tour of the hotel. This is a small, old hotel but is very nice. The room was large and had modern facilities in the bathroom and the bed was comfortable. There is no elevator so we had to negotiate the old creaky stairs but in this case it added to the charm of the place.

Spacious room with renovated spacious bathroom. Staff is excellent and they also offer a mini guided tour of the property which is a landmark itself, with 5-generation history. The hotel is located in front of a lake and next to the gondola station to reach the ski resort/mountain to hike.

The hotel was located next to a fjord and there were excellent views from our windows. Our room was clean and comfortable with good facilities. The breakfast was excellent and we ate a good meal in the hotel restaurant.

    The place is very beautiful, I like it even more then Flåm.

    The place is very beautiful, I like it even more then Flåm. Roads 7and 49 are spectacular I just hope that one day they will be more friendly as they are very narrow and in high season it's a test to drive there.
