Everything is absolutelly super! Retrospectively looking, it was two nicest stays in Lofoten. I would recommend this rorbuer from the bottom of my heart. It has everything you would think of - good coffe maschine, lots of usefull stuff in the kitchen, nice bedroom, washing mashine, dryer ans stunning view from the window. We stayed at Thesenbua.

Loved the location in a picturesque fishing village right on the fjord. Views were stunning. Home was comfortable and stylish and we very much enjoyed sitting by the wood stove at night. Host was so helpful. Highly recommended.

This is the best apartment we’ve stayed in while visiting Lofoten! The host’s thoughtfulness shows in every detail of the room’s arrangement. The bright room features a harmonious color scheme that creates a cozy atmosphere. The kitchen and bathroom are fully equipped with everything we needed. Parking in the yard was also convenient. Waking up to stunning views just by opening the curtains was a delightful experience for us. This accommodation made our stay comfortable, and I would not hesitate to recommend it to my friends.

    Reine is the crown jewel of the Lofoten Islands — probably one of the most beautiful places on earth. Surrounded by dramatic peaks and crystal waters, it offers stunning views at every turn. Perfect for hiking adventures, yet still full of charm with its picture-perfect fishing villages and cozy vibe.

    Perfect spot.

    Perfect spot. Very quiet as there was only a few cabins near by but still close enough to things that are going on. Views were amazing from the cabin with a decked seating at the front of the property with views of the sea and the mountains. Just beautiful. We ate at Anita’s restaurant. We also ate from a take away cabin in Flakstadoya, well worth going there. It was delicious. Sorry we didn’t have time to kayak in Reine

    Beautiful town!

    Beautiful town! Try to be there when there aren't tour busses full of people. During the summer and the midnight sun it's really pleasant at night. Our highlight was hiking the Reinebringen - twice! Once at night, once in the morning. We also watched for orcas, which we heard were sighted pretty often that week but we didn't see them. Highly recommend staying at the Sakrisoy Gjestegård but it's easiest to get around if you have a car.

    The excellent location and spacious unit Near public transport. The buses stop just outside. They should do something about the fire alarm which goes off at slight cooking. Otherwise excellent property great views.

    Reine is a spectacular location but without a car you need...

    Reine is a spectacular location but without a car you need to plan carefully on how to get around on the buses, and use the Reis app. We stayed on Sakriskoy which has 2 excellent restaurants. The Underhuset run by a very welcoming Mexican proprietor who cooks marvellously, and Anita's seafood.

    To start off, we went during the winter season (we were there fro March 18-20th). As amazing as the winter views are during the time we went, honestly I would not recommend going during the winter for the first time, especially if you are not an experienced hiker as the snow and storms limit many of the activities you can do around the area. Of course, this is a different story if you are going specifically FOR winter related actives, then Reine can be quite the winter wonderland (though I think Tromso would be better for that, although I have never been). I wanted to do more hikes during our time there, but the snow made it quite a challenge, for example the famous Reinebergen trail was closed off and highly advised not to climb due to avalanche warning, slip hazards, and so on. Proceed with caution and enjoy the beauty!

    The Manor House Sakrisoy Gjestegard is in our opinion the best place to stay in the lower Lofoten area. Wonderful views of Reine, the whole Mountain range and Hamnoy. We had a great conversation with Jack the Manager, who gave us also some valuable tips on the best places to spot the northern lights. If you want to spoil yourself book the Suite Olstind Mountain. That's truly one of a kind accommodation. Thanks again Jack, we hope to meet you on the road one day!
