Sogndal is a perfect home base if you want to spend a couple of days exploring the Sognefjord. It is the right size for walking around either day or night. People are very friendly and helpful. We didn’t like that the owner is advertising pictures with a view of the fiord from the cabin and we could see only two cabins in front of us!! Pictures which he used are taken from a different cabin on the property. It was also hard to get hold of him. It took us 1 and half hour. Beautiful fjord, Nice village with a really nice walk along the fjord. Recommended for kids, too: lots to play with. One day in Sogndal is enough though. Be aware: you have to pay for parking everywhere in Sogndal! Even for the supermarket parking spaces.
