Queenstown is a cute little town on the waterfront. Great restaurants and bars, lots of touristy attractions. Close to the Mountain and Arrowtown. It really is a tourist destination. I definitely recommend the Milford Sound cruise. Also take a helicopter ride for the views! Stunning.

It is a place in New Zealand you must visit. It is expensive so even if your budget only gives you 2 days stay you need to experience it. We (older) went skiing, Luge and gondola and river cruise. The younger family members went on the jet boats, bike riding in Arrowtown, parkrun and ice bar.

City is nestled inside crown mountain and other mountainous ranges. Amazing views from the city . Lots of attractions for everyone - kids, teens and adults . Only downside is expensive to stay long and most activities have high cost. Skyline gondola with luge rides and Deer park heights were the best attractions. We enjoyed driving to Glenorchy as well with many stunning locations to stop by and take beautiful photographs. You get all types of quisine - Italian, Mexican, Japanese, Korean , Indian

Glenorchy lake and trail at the lagoon, luge rides for kids, trip to lake Wanaka, bit of skiing and time at kids play area at the Remarkables, trip to arrow town, kiwi bird park and flight and cruise to Milford sound. All are stunning activities to do. While the weather forecast was dull at the time of my booking the trip in march, the actual weather was fantastic during our stay in the first week of October. Very less crowd too. Really enjoyed this trip as we headed to lake Tekapo after 7 days at

Excellent Apartment Hotel in Frankton not far from Queenstown Airport. Good rooms, quiet, parking usually available, bus stop (to town) very close and longer term parking ( I left my car there while doing one of the Great Walks) only just along the road. Also restaurants and a supermarket within a few minutes walk.
