Reefton is a lovely town. The river hydro walk is enjoyable as to the local pubs. Dawsons provides a good meal. The new Pizza parlour Bassano makes great pizza, though I thought the wine was overpriced. Accomodation were I have stayed, both great places. Different price points but neither can be faulted. Harold House and The Old Vicarage.

There is a lot of natural and historical interest to be found in Reefton. It has an unusual and charming shopping street. Good cafes. Enjoyed our meals at Wilson’s Hotel. Friendly, chatty people who made us feel welcome. Enjoyed visiting Waiuta ghost goldmine town , but be careful on the narrow road.

The place is basic but clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and help you in all your needs. My husband had a health issue and the Michelle helped me with informations and support to solve it. I felt very comfortable with them. The place is basic, but the view from the backyard is very nice. I recommend this place and I would come back.

Fabulous town, have been to Reefton many times as I came from Westport, now live in Australia. My Australian neighbours stayed here last year and loved it, as we did. The town is doing very well with tourists I know love it. So congratulations to your town.

Reefton is an historic town which may have suffered from the Covid period. Some buildings were closed down and others not open all week. It has a cinema (not open on the couple of days we were there), and a gin tasting facility, a supermarket and a variety of eateries. As well, some delicate little sole trader shops for all things interesting. It offers fly fishing in the stream at appropriate times and a couple of hotels (be mindful of the Reefton hotel barmaid and the sagging, wobbly floor). The town has retained a lot of the old architecture in its buildings, befitting a glorious historical past. There's a central war memorial and a cluster of fine wooden churches as well as an historic courthouse just away from the main street in town. Pretty.

Reefton has done a lot to upgrade the town center. lots of art halleroes, curio shops, 2 bery good cafe and one excellent authentiek Italian pizzeria with art-deco interior and wood-fired pizza. Close to plentyof hiking, fishing, rafting and mountain biking.
