Taupo is a family friendly destination with many activities available around the lake. However it can be very busy during popular season such as the Christmas break, so making a plan to visit in advance would be my recommendation. Only there for a short time - only chose Taupo as it was central to all those attending the reunion. Great selection of cafe's to meet & dine in, with free parking.
