Loved our stay here. Chose the location because it was a quick hour drive from the Hooker Valley Track, and then the room exceeded our expectations! It's huge, with all the ammenities you'd need. Plus, the surrounding area is beautiful, especially at sunset!

Perfect room in a perfect place! The room is large with super comfortable bed, bathroom is also quite large, everything is clean. When you walk out of the room outside, you get an incredible view of the mountains. In the morning you can make breakfast, kitchen is well equipped and has everything. And as bonus, Mary, the host, is super nice!

    My husband and I have been coming to Twizel for several...

    My husband and I have been coming to Twizel for several years now. My husband comes for the fishing and I for the photography. We have stayed in all seasons. This time it was July middle of winter. Didn't catch any fish but I got some great photos. Had a lovely meal out at Poppies. Would recommend them. We were disappointed with our accommodation, but it didn't ruin our stay in Twizel.

    Cute, small town with the most amazing scenery.

    Cute, small town with the most amazing scenery. The town itself is very small, but offers so much with scenic walks, activities & the locals are super friendly. We had dinner at the Razza Bar - a small, old school bar with the best atmosphere & great food. The owner was really friendly and told us all about the lord of the rings filming and where we could find the area where the fight scene was filmed which was very cool. Beautiful place & we can’t wait to come back

    The view is fantastic. We need to stay longer next time. Twizel is a good centre point for 2 lakes Lake Pukaki and Lake Takapo. Compare with stay in Lake Takapo, Stay in Twizel is more valuable. If you are hiring car yourself to teavel.

    The lake is brilliant and perfect for our power boat racing. The restaurants were fantastic and the food was great. The 'hardware store' is more than that! You should definitely check it out. They have everything!

    Good location from which to visit Mnt Cook/Aoraki and the Tekapo and Pukaki lakes. Ideal stopover for us as we headed from Christchurch to Queenstown. High Country Lodge was clean and comfortable with a spacious room and good facilities.

    It was just right for us because we do not ride bikes or do sports which could keep others another day. The town is lovely. The restaurants are great. Walked to the river and we were the only people there. People nice too. There is an olympic clean new looking pool there and if a warm day I suggest using it. It was so reasonable in price too and few people in it.

    Pukaki Air Lodge is in a great location, close to Twizel town centre and Lake Pukaki. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and possibly have the best shower I've used in a hotel/lodge. Staff are friendly and helpful, and there is a full kitchen available for guests to use, alongside coffee/tea in room. Having breakfast included was a great bonus! With views straight out onto the airstrip and great views of Mt Cook, I feel like it would be hard to find somewhere as beautiful to stay.

    Great value accommodation, $60 cheaper a night than basic hotels we saw in the area and we got our own kitchenette to cook. Yes it’s dated but perfect for a good value short stay. Warm shower, clean towels with toiletries, free tea bags and coffee, well stocked cutlery and kitchen utensils. Some of the reviews are very harsh on here - comparing this to prices in the area it’s a good budget option.

    The owner was so super kind with walking through instructions about the cottage, we're asking for an early check in as our parents in their 80s got cold as the Twizel weather turned foggy and cold and the owner was so happy to let us in early , we're so much appreciated. We will be booking at Rosedale again on every trip to twizel. Thank you Dave for your warm hospitality.

    The cabins are a perfect compact size for a quick overnight stay when you're out and about on your South Island adventures. The nearby lakes, and the township of Twizel are great backdrops for your holiday here. Good hot water in the shower blocks, and kitchen facilities in the communal areas. Some fun playground equipment and attractions for kids and little ones.
