An excellent property with breathtaking views that are worth the visit alone. The added touches, like the cosy dressing gown's and fireplace, made the stay even more enjoyable. It was the perfect setting for relaxing and close to the many cellar doors North Canterbury has to offer. The property had everything we needed for our 2-night stay, and the hosts were incredibly friendly. Highly recommend!

Our stay in the wine pod was absolutely unforgettable! We had just one night, but it was a perfect blend of fun and relaxation. We arrived at Georges Road Winery in the afternoon, checked in with our gracious host, and then took advantage of the complimentary bikes to explore the nearby wineries (two of them are just a short ride away). We enjoyed a delightful tasting at Georges Road before settling into the wine pod, nestled right on the property with stunning views of the vineyard. The wine pod is beautifully appointed—everything was thoughtfully designed for comfort. The bed was incredibly cozy, the outdoor soaking tub was a real treat, and we loved sitting on the patio with a snack and tea, soaking in the serene surroundings. We also took advantage of the option to have food stocked in the fridge, as there's a grill available, and the meal was absolutely delicious. The breakfast offerings were equally charming, with local delicacies in adorable packaging. Kirk and Allison have truly thought of everything—down to an assortment of their wines in the fridge, making it easy to enjoy a glass and settle up upon departure. Highly recommend this incredible experience!

Came for lunch first and then checked into this cute little B&B. Quite dangerous having access to every single bottle of wine they sell, what else are you going to do on a Saturday night when there's no tv :) They leave you breakfast which is an entire loaf of their bread the serve in the restaurant! We stayed in June and the room was really warm and cosy

Great hosts that are very welcoming and friendly. Karen and Bruce really go out of their way to ensure you have a great stay. Spa pool and fire place were fantastic as well as the breakfast, Awesome interactions with the farm animals. If you want to experiance life on a kiwi farm then this is your spot. P.S. The Waipara has our favourite wines in NZ we love a couple nights there after doing some business in Christchurch. We always book a couple long lunch taste the chef experiences at Black Estate and Greystone then fit in a tasting at Pegasus bay and George’s Road and The Bone Line. You can cycle the wineries but we haven’t because we are always there in winter. Several of them have their own accommodation BnB and there are others in the area. The Amberley market on Saturday mornings is a good place to stock up on local goodies for self catering.

I think Waipara is a nice day trip, or good place to pass...

I think Waipara is a nice day trip, or good place to pass through and stop for lunch. We ate lunch at Greystone which was lovely. We stopped at Terrace Edge to taste, but there were no restaurants for dinner or little town to stop and stroll through/rent bikes unless you drove back down to Amberly, and very few places to stay. This was our last day, and we are not huge wine people, so we didn't take full advantage of everything the area had to offer. I think this is an up and coming area, so still room to grow. On the plus side, not at all crowded.

Great location in a vineyard in a winery.

Great location in a vineyard in a winery. It is quiet with not a lot around so it is best to order food for dinner or enjoy a lovely lunch at their restaurant and then maybe take your own cheese and crackers and one of their wines for an easy dinner.
