Everything was perfect, inside out. The employees were absolutely lovely, from the cleaning team (Ankit, Florence) and around the swimming pool (Sami & Tin) will took a really good care of us. The chef was taking time to be sure that food was good enough, and he was super nice. Thanks to the Marriott’s Team who made our stay so peaceful and perfect

This is such a long list, I honestly don't know where to start. The property is absolutely stunning and makes you feel like you are on vacation the minute you enter its driveway. Very well designed, very lively and superbly located. Reception team members Sana and Nary were SO, SO FRIENDLY and helpful, it made us all feel extremely nice. They not only helped us check in quickly but also helped plan out our stay to the T. Sana had some great recommendations on what we should do, and how we could maximize our time at the hotel. We had a late flight the next day, and she extended our time till the maximum she could in our rooms, so that we did not have to loiter at the airport. Nary on the other hand, made sure that my mother truly had the best birthday ever (we were there to celebrate her birthday). She not only surprised us with balloons, a cake, and a birthday banner in her room but also sent us a dessert with the entire F&B team singing for my mom at dinner that evening. Buddha Bar is fabulously designed, has a great pool, and an amazing ambiance. The music truly sets the vibe, and the cocktails are beautifully made (so smooth and fresh, gotta be careful not to get too tipsy). The lobby lights up in the evening with the music director of the hotel DJ-ing and playing his deep house/electro set. We walked past and ended up having a drink at the living room (bar near the reception) because of how good the music was. The rooms are superbly equipped, very well-lit and have an amazing view. Bathrooms are fabulously done and are a work of art. The breakfast at the hotel is a huge spread, and everything on the menu tastes amazing. 10/10 for service and food quality. The outdoor pool is probably the largest I have seen in a hotel and the day beds truly make you want to spend your entire day there. This is a signature experience you will not get at any other hotel. The poolside bar is fabulous too. Overall, we loved our stay and def recommend it!

Great property, exceptional people. Nice hotel with a wide variety of restaurants, an infinity pool and direct access to a calm beach. Everyone at the hotel, from check in ti check out, was extremely friendly and helpful. Location was also great: only a few minutes drive from the airport with a strip mall, with lots of interesting cafes and restaurants, only a short stroll away. If you’re looking for a quiet beach get away, you probably can’t do much better.

We stayed for just one night, but our experience was excellent. The staff at both the reception and concierge were warm and welcoming. The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and the beds very comfortable. The hotel’s location, directly opposite Muscat Grand Mall, is an added convenience. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

FAQs about hotels in Muscat

The Middle East’s Best Kept Secret

An enchanting Arabic jewel, Muscat was already an important port in the 1st century. With a strict building code that imposes respect to heights and styles, the city has developed a harmonized and traditional look that makes it irresistible. Don’t miss the traditional Muttrah Souq marketplace, considered one of the best in the region.

The city is actually composed of three towns: Muscat is the walled Old Town where royal palaces are located; Muttrah includes the old and new harbours and the Corniche seafront; and Ruwi is the commercial and diplomatic area. Check out the Muscat hotels map on Booking.com and choose your preferred location!

The city is surrounded by the Western Al Hajar Mountains, and the crystalline waters and sandy beaches of the Arabian Sea. Staying in a Muscat hotel on the beach is a great way to enjoy the beautiful Gulf of Oman views.

The modern and elegant Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is one of the largest in the world. Don’t miss the twin forts of Al Jalali and Al Mirani, and the Qasr Al Alam Royal Palace.

Before departing to Muscat International Airport, check the deals for hotels, resorts, and B&B’s available on Booking.com!

Muscat is like what Dubai was 20 years ago – calm, peaceful, and the Omanis are incredibly welcoming. If you’re looking for history and natural beauty, Muscat is the place to be. Unlike Dubai, it boasts traditional buildings instead of skyscrapers.

Loved my stay in Muscat, but would plan not to go in September, it’s just too hot to do anything during the day. The people are lovely from the time you step off the plane, until you depart at the end of your visit. One of the safest countries to be for a single female traveller

If you are only visiting the north end of Oman 2 weeks is sufficient & will save you from paying for a 30 day visa on arrival. If I went again I would go between the months of October to March when it is cooler. I am a morning person but it was just too hot to get outside between the hours of 8am till 4pm unless going to a shopping centre. The shopping centres are beautiful in Muscat, but there is only so much you can do. The variety of cuisines in Muscat is amazing with Iraqi, Yemini, Turkish, Chinese, Pakistani/Desi as well as Omani food. People are wonderful from the time you step off the plane, even the immigration officers smile & welcome you to Oman. I had people pay my bus fare because I didn’t have the right notes for the driver. The only negative I have is that Muscat & the suburbs are not pedestrian friendly. There might be dusty tracks beside a road but only corniches, parks & private communities ( like Al Mouj) have nice walkways. You may have to walk 2 blocks out of your way to find some traffic lights which will react to pedestrians.

Muscat is a delightful destination offering a rich tapestry of cultural landmarks and natural beauty. The Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque stands as a testament to Islamic architecture, welcoming visitors with its grandeur and serenity. For those seeking artistic experiences, the Royal Opera House Muscat offers world-class performances in a stunning setting. Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the tranquil Qurum Beach and the lush Qurum Natural Park, perfect for relaxation and leisurely walks. The bustling Mutrah Souq provides a glimpse into Oman's trading history, while the nearby Mutrah Corniche offers scenic coastal views. Whether you're exploring historical sites or enjoying the city's natural landscapes, Muscat promises a memorable experience.

The airport experience was one of the best I have ever had for ease and simplicity to both enter and exit the country. The roads were extremely safe to drive on and our hotel was just excellent. Fantastic resort with all the facilities you need. We enjoyed the multiple restaurants, the direct access to the beach, the pool and tennis court and the room with beach view. Staff was super friendly (as ever in Oman). Special thanks to Santosh for the magnificent service during our dinner. Even though we checked out at noon, we were able to use the hotel facilities and the restaurant until we had to leave for our flight at 8 PM.

We absolutely love this hotel, the best we stayed in during our three week holiday in Oman (and we also stayed in 5-star hotels)! The staff is very friendly and professional with a special thanks to Jashim and Bindu for all their great assistance; they made our stay memorable. The rooms are comfortable and the price-value balance is remarkable. We overall really like the vibe/atmosphere and concept of the hotel.

The room was big, clean and without noise. The location of the hotel is in between the airport and old Muscat, so you need a car or a taxi to get anywhere (they can help you with taxi at the reception). Good breakfast (with filtred and Omani coffee🙂). Swimming pool with view. We got more water whenever we asked.
