Very beautiful lodge in the woods with great view on fhe ocean. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast were very good at a beautiful terasse.

Pure Roots is a magical place! You are in the jungle and see all kinds of birds and wildlife, but you still have all of your comforts, like a nice bed, a beautiful relaxing space with a deck and hammock, a clean bathroom and hot shower. Jen cooks amazing dishes and always has the coffee on when you arrive for breakfast. She accommodates your dietary needs and the food includes lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. You can even watch her machete a fresh coconut for you to drink from, to get an electrolyte boost! I stayed for 5 nights.

We had a room in a house on a hill in the forest overlooking the sea. Lying in the hammock was really relaxing. Birds singing and the murmur of the sea. The owners from Holland are very friendly. Carmen is an excellent cook, at the same time a very nice and helpful hostess. She will be happy to advise you and help organize trips and transfers by water taxi. The joint dinners were a great experience both gastronomic and social.

Location was fabulous. Lots of windows with gorgeous views of wayer. Breakfast delivered to the room. We used the free kayaks. Snorkeling in front of the cabin was great. JJ was a wonderful host.

    The staff were lovely and food nice. Breakfast in the communal dining area was lovely as was dinner. However our rooms were awful. It was unbearably hot, no breeze, fan did not work well. No air con. We asked for an extra fan but it was inadequate. The rooms were not that clean, no hot water. Worst of all the sheets were made of awful sweaty nylon. So made you even hotter . Never get slept so badly in a hotel would advise people to avoid until they get air con and cotton sheets

    We loved the vibe in Old Bank, Bastimentos and the hosts of the Caribbean View. The hotel is run by a family and theyre all really friendly and helpful. The son Luis can also take you on some amazing trips with his boat. The room is very big and clean, and every day your room is cleaned. Sometimes there is a problem with water on the island but when you ask the owner he puts the water straight on for you and you will have warm water to shower

    The staff were amazing, so helpful and friendly. We took a tour through the hotel which was a great day with Alejandro, and it was great value. Manuela gave us great restaurant recommendations. Fred and the rest of the hotel staff were so nice The whole stay was just fantaastic

    Simple. Good aircon. Nice location to explore Bastimentos - wizard beach is nice. Nice view from pier out front but all the seats were super uncomfortable
