The best place to eat was at the resort's restaurant.
The best place to eat was at the resort's restaurant. They had a large enough menu that I was comfortable with my choices every lunch and dinner for a week. After one week we would have had to request some specials from the chef to change it up a bit. The area is famous for its chifles, which was perfect and fresh every day. Getting around was not easy, so we only left the property twice in the week. Máncora is a good destination for accessories shopping and ok for restaurants. Canoas de Punta Sal is very small with two pharmacies and a supermarket and not much more. If one likes nature and does not need to have to go to town every day, this place is perfect. It is not for going to museums and shopping or to bars and discos. We relaxed and came back refreshed. I also forgot to mention in my previous review of the Punta del Norte Bungalows that we got an automatic upgrade when we arrived.Guest review byAndreaUnited States - 8.0
Quiet, calm sandy beach.
Quiet, calm sandy beach. Not too crowded, quiet and great for scenery pictures. Not easy to get there though, nor to get around to other beaches or towns if you don't have a car or a motorcycle. There is a lack of other activities apart from the beach, no community life present, most houses are for rent and are empty for the most part. It took us about 1h 20 ‘ to get there from Tumbes airport. Nice place , well maintained, the green areas are beautiful. The staff is very helpful and willing to solve any inconvenience if something rise up . The beach in front of the hotel has rocks so you have to walk a little to find a beach to swim. Food is fine would be better if they include more variety. The rooms are clean. If you are the person who like to go out from your hotel to find a restaurant or bar this is not the place because there is nothing much around. Overall is fair hotel.Guest review byBeatrizPeru

The room is huge (so huge that I think you can do more with it for the one double bed room). Access to great beach. Very helpful employee. Nice and tasty restaurant 2min walking. Even with high tide and extraordinary waves, the beach and hotel felt very safe. There aren't many restaurants nearby, but at the nearby hotel Punta del Norte it's good enough, and also there’s a barbecue and full kitchen in the bungalow.
