Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially our greeter at the entrance. He was very helpful with all the necessary information we needed. Food at breakfast was very good. Our tasting menu experience, although expensive, was a really lovely two hours. The food in the other speciality restaurant was very good but the portions were tiny. The pool areas were really well kept. Overall I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for that bit of extra luxury we all crave.

Excellent location with direct access to a gorgeous beach. The suites were beautiful and spacious and the food was very good value with a thoughtful menu that catered for both adult and teens at the cafe. The staff were exceptional. Sun, Sand and The Strip!

One of the best Algarve resorts, Albufeira has wonderful beaches, turquoise waters and the dramatic, rocky coastline that makes this part of Portugal so special.

Naturally, life here is all about sun, sand and sea. The most popular Albufeira beach is Fisherman’s Beach and you can still see locals bringing in the fishing boats every morning - if you’re up early enough, that is. Tunnel Beach is accessed through an opening in the cliff, and both offer a variety of watersports.

Further up the coast is Albufeira Marina, from where sightseeing boat trips depart, while east of the town is the 9-hole Balaia golf course. On the way here, you pass Arias de Sao João, home to The Strip where the best bars and clubs are found, many staying open until the early hours.

The Old Town of Albufeira is more peaceful, and its cobbled streets house Moorish buildings and some great restaurants serving fresh fish. If you fancy a day trip from Albufeira, the 12th-century remains of Moorish Almoáda Castle in Paderne can be visited for free.

The town is around 45 minutes’ drive from Faro Airport and there is a fantastic range of beach resorts, small B&Bs and Albufeira apartments on Booking.com.

    The food and the people are amazing! The views are stunning. The beach is very very long and there's lots of activities to do. As a family we ate out every afternoon and evening, and we visited the local shops for breakfast, snack and accompaniment items to eat in our Villa. We walked everywhere, but there were local transport options available too, specifically the land train. The roads are steep in parts, and will get your heart pumping, but there's well thought out alternative routes you can use with steps or other cut throughs to get you from A to B in an efficient manner! We visited the marina a few times and went out on a boat to see the Dolphins and Caves.

    Albufeira is beautiful, bars and restaurants that we visited was really nice and staff were very friendly. Old town was my favourite. Beach beautiful and clean. Paulu's Restaurant was really nice and great staff, would highly recommend this restaurant. We will be back for sure

    Albufeira is a beautiful place with lots to do from walking, beach hopping, shopping, water sports and other activities like horse riding and jeep safari. The weather was fantastic for mid September and I found it fairly reasonably priced for meals out. If you are looking for a beach holiday with options of lots to do this is it!

    Albufeira is by far one of the best places to visit. Went with Hubby, 21 and 24 yr old boy and girl. We visited mid August which we realized was peak season so the beaches were relatively crowded. However there are so many to choose from you can easily find a spot that's not too crowded. Eating out is very affordable on an average night out for family of 4 dinner is under $100, they drive on the R side of the road like the US... the euro is stronger than USD so get the EURO. Two of the fun group things to share: Go on the Barbeque boat/cave tour best deal for your money, Buggy countryside ride, good fun! Stayed 10 days and was on the flight back planning the return trip, only this time were thinking of a fall visit.

    Great party town but also great for families.

    Great party town but also great for families. We went as a 4 (my wife and I and our two 17yo kids) and everyone had a great time. Beaches: Plenty of space to spread out. Plenty of beach clubs where you can hire beds and shades and plenty of beach bars to have a drink. Old town: Very clean and felt safe even during the night. It livens up the later it gets up until about 2am when things start closing. Restaurants serve food until about 11pm so be aware of that if you're heading out later. Live music in loads of places as well as the standard dj/spotify playlists. During the day it's a lot quieter but still everywhere open for food and drinks. There are loads of little shops to buy holiday souvenirs from as well. The Strip: This is for the kids (and by kids I mean 18-25 year olds). It's just a road of pubs and clubs with one half blocked off from traffic. Open till 6am. We went, sat outisde and watched the fun unfold over a couple of beers while our kids went off and had a great time. Loads of offers for cheap drinks (especially earlier in the evening) but even once happy hour had finished it was still only 5 euro a pint. Probably a 30 minute walk from the old town. Other: Aldi, Lidl and a local supermarket are all on the main road to the north of the town that runs parallel to the beach. Aldi and Lidl are next door to each other and are about a 5-10 minute walk from the old town. The other one (Pingo Doce) is a 5-10 minute walk from the top of the strip. Uber is available and on a par with UK prices.

    The hotel is very clean, modern and in the perfect location right near the strip and a 10 minute drive to the old town. The staff communicate via WhatsApp and you can ask them for anything you need that way. The pool is well maintained, clean and has a lovely relaxed vibe. The pool bar is great for lunch or snacks until 8pm and breakfast was a buffet style which was also lovely. The rooms had a paid mini bar with wine and complimentary water and coffee machine ready on arrival.

    The apartment was large and spacious. Had everything you would need with a well equipped kitchen if needed. Wifi very good in the apartment. AC was handy if the rooms got too hot at night. 2 Bathrooms which was great for getting ready at night. Reasonably close to the strip, 10/15 minute walk. The beach being a similar walk. Also close enough to the old town 25/30 min walk. Thought taxi fairly cheap if this is too far approx €8. Be warned, though Albufeira is quite hilly

    The location not far from New town and Old town, Marina de albufeira is 10 minutes walk, and there's 2 beaches near the hotel that is easy to reach by foot as well about 10 minutes walk to Sao Rafael Beach. We used uber taxi to go out, bus transport not good every 2 hours on time tables. taxi fares are cheap to me compared in UK. Faro airport to the hotel cost us 25-27 euro only and that is about 28 miles.

    Firstly I just want to say the staff were absolutely amazing and very accommodating to us especially Soom on reception. Although the hotel needs a little TLC I wasn’t expecting a 5 star hotel when we arrived given the price. We just wanted something cheap & cheerful. Ideal location very close to the beach & old town.
