Our visits to Armacao de Pera have been out of season so reasonably quiet, perfect for us. The beach is one of the longest in the Algarve plus a boardwalk which extends for miles. Excellent for those who want long walks. There are small more sheltered sections of beach immediately in front of the central area for sunbathers and swimmers. Wide selection of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance of central accommodation. Large Lidl supermarket close to front with a large selection of smaller supermarkets and shops in the central area. Recently completed car park on beach front costs but convenient. A peaceful town with a relaxed atmosphere, yet still lively with shops and a beautiful coastline. There are plenty of nice restaurants and opportunities to enjoy nature. Armaçao is a lovely town along the Algarve coast. It is family friendly with lots of restaurants and shops along the promenade. It was quiet in the evening. It is most likely not the most stunning beach in the Algarve but it is very pleasant. A good spot for surfing if there are huge waves too. The hotel crew is competent and helpful. We sincerely suggest you have dinner at the Balbino restaurant which is less than 100m from the accommodation and offers more than excellent food with reasonable prices.
