Absolutely remarkable. We leave Natur Amêndoa with full hearts, having found a true slice of paradise — a place to pause, breathe, and listen to the pure sounds of nature. Laura, in particular, has a magnetic presence and an incredible gift for hosting — you feel as though you’ve known her for years. Everything reflects their dedication: the thoughtful details, the care poured into every corner, and the evident pride in their entrepreneurial journey. There’s a deep joy in how they share their local heritage with guests. And the view — THE VIEW! What a gift to wake up surrounded by the gentle embrace of nature’s hills. Breakfast is also a plus, and you can tell how much care Laura puts into preparing it every morning. It’s served in a long table, a chance to have a little morning chat with the owners and other guests. The location is perfect — remote, yes, but isn’t that the point? Great location, far out, but in 20 minutes at the coast and the next town Extremely quiet and perfect for a few relaxing days. Xana and Miguel have been such wonderful hosts, always available if you have any needs, but still 100% privacy. We would love to come back in the near future

We had a beautiful view of the river, the old Town and Castle from our room. The room was perfect for our stay. We had a very clean and nice room with privat bathroom with huge shower and shower gel/shampoo and hairdryer. A little fridge, kettle, coffee, tea were available in the room. There were an outside pool. I highly reccomend it. 🙂

The view was amazing over the river. The staff was very friendly and informed me about the museum in the hotel next to eat also the facilities. There is a little restaurant where you can have some traditional Portuguese food, craft beer and good wine.

The house is very beautiful, the window has the most amazing view of the castle, the room is cozy and clean. The town is charming. Would totally stay there again.

Lovely place, lovely owners. The food in the restaurant is amazing and the local white wine is a must! We had a lovely spread waiting for us when we arrived after midnight (late flight, enormous queues at Sixt). Thank you for your hospitality and your care! Mértola itself is a little gem! It’s like that old Portugal from books and films — certainly worth exploring!
