Our visit was primarily to celebrate a friend's birthday, and we had 2 or 3 activities pre-planned so sightseeing was limited. However, what we saw of the city was lovely. Like any city, it has its less salubrious areas, but there is some great architecture and lovely gardens to see. Ubers are plentiful and cheap if you don't want to walk, but traffic is generally very heavy! A really developed city, which is convenient to get by to every place. We really liked the Village museum, located in a park up north from the city center. There is a lot to visit in Bucharest!
There is a lot to visit in Bucharest! I would recommend House of parliament, Ceaucescu's house, Cismigiu gardens, Herastrau park. If you want to eat well and authentic Hanu lui Manuc and Caru cu bere are fabulous restaurants. If you want to see Bucharest at night buzzing of atmosphere then it has to be OLD TOWN.
