A lot of monasteries are situated close to Gura Humorului: Humor, Moldovita, Sucevita, Voronet and Putna - a little bit further. You can visit 2 (two) museums dedicated to the traditional art of decorating Easter eggs - one in Moldovita, the other one in Vama. There is also a very nice steam train in Moldovita - you have to book it in advance. For those who like to take nice pictures, there is a place called Panorama Bucovinei. The city itself is nothing special (although it has a very nice park just to the south of downtown). What make Gura Humorului important is how central it is to the painted monasteries. As a base it is perfect to visit the monasteries of Humor, Veronet, Moldoovita and Sucevita.Guest review byMihaela

The location is quiet and close to Arinis Park where is lots to do for children and adults, including the longest zip line in Europe. You can reach this by walking.
