Now is the winter period. It's not crowded. The place is interesting, with a nice promenade along the Danube. Several restaurants offer great food. The fortress is exceptional. The best part of Golubac are the fortress and the Danube, which is 6.1 km wide and 63 m deep. It's like a lake. Nearby is another Ram fortress which is tidy and beautiful to visit. Silver Lake, which is becoming an increasingly strong tourist center, is attractive for its atmosphere, bathers and the coast. Tumane Monastery has its own "healing" story, so it should be visited. The area of Golubac - Veliko Gradishte is very beautiful, there were separate bike lanes. Despite our winter visit, it was beautiful. Golubac is one of the pretiest sections of Serbia that I have seen. There are two sites one must definitely see when visiting Golubac, one is the Monastary and the other is the fort. There are also some other forts nearbye and the lovely silver lake. There are two nice cafe's in the city center, which have a nice atmosphere, one is City Cafe and the other is Nana cafe. Take a stroll on the cornish or locally known as the kay. I feel in love with this region of Serbia, I hope one day, I will go back for a longer visit.
