This hotel turned out to be a pleasant surprise, since I didn’t expect much based on the pictures. Yes, the room is very small, but it’s so comfy! The mattress and the pillows are perfect, it’s so quiet in the hotel that you can spend the whole day in bed comfortably. You can open a window in the room, which is rare for Stockholm hotels. But the biggest plus of this hotel is breakfast, probably the best I ever had in a hotel. Everything is right temperature and very tasty, huge selection for a small hotel like this. Lots of gluten free and healthy options and amazing deserts, including candies and cakes. I didn’t see any children around while I was staying there, probably because the rooms are too small to stay with kids, which gives you an additional bonus of peace and quiet at breakfast and in the hotel in general. The stuff is very nice and helpful, I asked for a kettle and they immediately brought it to my room. Considering how awful most of the hotels are in Stockholm (from my experience), this was a hidden gem.

Very clean and comfortable room. There was everything you need, except a mini bar or small fridge, other than that everything was cool. Hotel is not located directly in center but it is really easy to get there by public transport from center. The food in this hotel was the best I have ever had in hotels. There was a large breakfest selection and for dinner you have different foods everyday. Gym was small but there was everything you need.

We have been to Stockholm previously (our son lives there)...

We have been to Stockholm previously (our son lives there) so we visit sometimes - I wouldn't say we are regulars. But we probably chose the wrong weekend to go as travel was chaotic! Firstly, they are rebuilding the bus station so they have created a temporary bus station quite a distance from the normal one. And the normal station is usually only a short walk from Slussen station but the temp station is quite a trek!! When you need to transit with baggage, its hard work! And I always find Stockholm Central Station to be almost the most confusing station in Europe!! Secondly, we were travelling north to Gavle and on that particular day they had decided to close a lot of the rail network north of Stockholm for maintenance work. Consequently that made our travel on that day a complete nightmare!! Slow commuter trains and bus replacement services - it took us nearly 6 hours to a 1.5 hour trip!

Very picturesque place.

Very picturesque place. Found the locals to be very friendly and helpful people. As with other city breaks a bit more expensive for eating and drinking. Definitely purchase an SL travel card as can use on all transport and even the ferries. Well worth the purchase to get around and see as much of the city as possible.

Stockholm is a beautiful city and I wish I had had more time to explore. I did take a boat tour of some of the islands and it was well worth the money but make sure you get one with indoor seating in the fall and the winter!!

I went to Stockholm for business.

I went to Stockholm for business. But Stockholm is a safe city, with a wide range of convenient facilities, public transport is very good, the banking system works very well. It has many interesting museums like the Vasa Museum and interesting places to visit like Gamla Stan. But it is an expensive place to visit.

Stockholm completely won me over.

Stockholm completely won me over. It’s such a beautiful and well-organized city where everything feels calm and respectful — people are polite, the streets are clean, and there’s a quiet sense of harmony everywhere. My favorite places were definitely Gamla Stan, with its charming cobblestone streets and colorful old houses, and Djurgården, where you can walk for hours surrounded by nature, museums, and the sound of the water. I also loved Södermalm for its artsy vibe, local shops, and cozy cafés — it’s the perfect place to just wander without a plan. Food was another highlight! We ate at a few great spots: Meatballs for the People (for a Swedish classic), Vete-Katten for amazing pastries and coffee, and Urban Deli for something more modern and relaxed. Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and delicious. Getting around Stockholm is super easy — the public transport is punctual and clean, but honestly, walking or renting bikes is the best way to explore. The city feels safe and very pedestrian-friendly. For young couples, there’s so much to do: long walks along the waterfront, visiting the Vasa Museum or Fotografiska, exploring hidden cafés, or taking a romantic ferry ride through the archipelago. Even just watching the sunset from Monteliusvägen feels magical. Stockholm is one of those cities that balances culture, nature, and calm perfectly — ideal for couples who love good food, long walks, and beautiful views.

I loved visiting Stockholm.

I loved visiting Stockholm. I wish I had more time and money to stay longer. We were there for a concert at the Avicii Arena which was amazing. Another highlight of our trip was visiting Skansen - the open-air museum with traditional houses and crafts where you can observe how glass, pottery, bread were made in the past. We also found very interesting the wild animals and fish traditional for Sweden, and exotic monkeys, lemurs and meerkats. If visiting Skansen, make sure to have enough time - go before noon as it closes at 15 h.

Our stay in this hotel was absolutely pleasant. The room was clean, quiet, and with all necessary things inside: hairdryer, iron, kettle, earplugs, shampoo, conditioner, locker. The breakfast was one of the best we’ve ever had! The location is a bit faraway but still accessible to the city center by public transportation or 1h on foot which is great time to stroll around Stockholm.
