We went purely for skiing.
We went purely for skiing. Lovely slopes, just make sure there’s plenty of snow forecast, else it gets icy. Jasna resort is pretty big and there's a lot to do. The lift tickets are ~60 euro per day which personally I thought was way too much. I'm just a beginner though and the weather was really, really cloudy while I was there so on better days and a more experienced skier would definitely get more use out of the lift passes. Poiana Brasov in Romania is ~20 euro a day for lift passes and ~20 euro a day for a full ski set so my price expectations are probably ruined forever because of that.Guest review byShelbyUnited States - 10

The Jasna ski centre is perfect for a lovely ski holiday.

Demanovska Dolina is a verly long village, so it depends when you are going and what you want to do. If you want to ski all day, I would recommend to find accommodation directly on the slope / under the lift, as otherwise you will have to drive with your car or with a ski bus for 20 - 30 min and you might not even fit in the bus which tends to be full. However, if your aim is not solely skiing, you might want to stay in the village, as the place for walking might be better there than on the slope. The ski area is smaller than in the usual Alpine resorts, but big enough for an intermediate skier. The prices (for the ski-pass, food and drinks) are high for the value you're getting.Guest review byTereziaSlovakia

I’d expert they both provide same comfort. Room was good,comfortable,clean. Breakfast at the Koliba very good, nice selection. We also dined at the Koliba and enjoyed that. Location is at the beginning of Demanovska Dolina,we used car to get to Jasna because it was already out of high season.
