We have lived there, so we know the ins and outs of this town. Be patient with traffic and bicycles and pedestrians. Expect somewhat higher prices as everything needs to brought in from somewhere else. Alameda is decent it's not as bad as Oakland however they're still criminal activities going on in Alameda this motel is on the outskirts of Alameda literally right under the tunnel from downtown Oakland. I booked two rooms for five days at the Extended Stay Hotel...
I booked two rooms for five days at the Extended Stay Hotel in Alameda. One for my mother and sister, the other for me and my brother. Late into the night, my mom started knocking on my door. She was complaining about how her room smelled like it had a chemical leak. As I walked back to her room in the hallway, I noticed gas like vapors slowly coating most of the second floor. This wasn’t just my mom’s nostril sensitivity; the hallway was literally covered in what smelled like a fuel leak from a busted pipe. Me and my family decided to check out in order to keep my mom from literally dying as a result of being exposed to the toxic vapors. I only received a refund for the booking fee of the first room I purchased. I’m still trying to get back the rest of my money. Later that week, my sister researched review of the Extended Stay in Alameda CA.
