best hotel for my needs while i arrive to vail area for a skiing trip. everything was perfect (except a bit expensive during this time of year). the underground parking is all you need during snow storms

The Residence Inn was a great choice for us in Vail. The hotel has all the amenities you need for your ski trip. Their shuttle service to Vail Village is very convenient and runs every 15 minutes until 10pm. Parking is great! Without knowing too much about other hotels in Vail, I think it is an excellent option in terms of price/benefit without ever feeling like a low-cost hotel (which it is not). 100% recommended.

Room was a nice size and quiet. I could not hear any of the other guests unless they were in the hallway. TV was definitely too small to enjoy from the bed but the WIFI made up for it haha. Great internet speed and connection. I would suggest putting a wifi booster near the top floor since I noticed the router was in the basement.

The Minturn Inn is an outstanding place to stay. The host Rob makes you feel very welcome. The atmosphere is warm and cosy, very much a 'home from home'. The porch is a good and comfortable space to sit and watch the world go by or the sun go down. Our room was very good, no complaints at all and as for the breakfast, it was superb. Plentiful and fresh, nothing could be done to improve it.

    The best thing about Avon is walkable area.

    The best thing about Avon is walkable area. Restaurants are not impressive. The Vin48 was terrible. The food was poor quality and way overpriced. The worst Chicken Marsala I’ve ever had. My wife and I almost left after taking our first bite. The staff was wonderful, though, which made it difficult to complain.

    Avon is a nice little town that has everything you need.

    Avon is a nice little town that has everything you need. Restaurants and shops, many close enough to walk to if needed or there are convenient busses to get you anywhere, Much less hustle and Bustle than Vail or Breckenridge.

    Town is fantastic both winter & summer.

    Town is fantastic both winter & summer. Have enjoyed both seasons. Efficient bus travel. Fantastic upscale restaurants. In summer, enjoyed a concert in city park. Local food truck was excellent- wish there were a few more.

    Avon is small and easy to get around.

    Avon is small and easy to get around. Northside Kitchen is a good place to eat. Have brunch at 11:30am or after to avoid the busy time. Walgreens is conveniently located if needed. Avon is very close to Vail which is where we were going to watch a couple of hockey games.... great entertainment - tickets are only $10 online - John Dobson Arena. Nottingham Lake and Beach Park in Avon is a nice place to walk in winter and is dog friendly.

    If you love to ski at Beaver Creek, it's a very short bus...

    If you love to ski at Beaver Creek, it's a very short bus ride from Avon. Avon is generally more affordable for stays and has many great restaurant options. We have found many of the hotels in Avon offer larger rooms or suites with kitchens so you don't have to eat our or can share with another family. There are free public buses and shuttles to get around Avon and Beaver Creek very easily. As a family with a young child, it's a very fun place to visit and ski!

    When there is remodeling and restaurants are closed, guests should be advised when making reservations. All charges on credit cards should be reflected on final check out blll and not hidden from guest until they return home and get their card statement like mine was.

    Well appointed an well run. The one bedrooom apartment was spacious and well equipped. The free Beaver Creek skier shuttle stops about 150 metres from the front door. There is free underground parking though large SUVs etc have to park outside, but there seemed to be plenty of capacity. If you want to ski Vail you have to change buses at Avon Station, but all buses are free. Avon has good services and shops, the restaurant scene is a little sparse but the skier shuttle to Beaver Creek village runs till 11 pm.

    The bed was comfy and the room was clean This is an OLD hotel. I have stayed there over the Past 15 years. Not much Improvement to be seen. The price today is reasonable, but the price for this Hotel was not worth staying just a month ago.
