I liked the size of the bedroom and bathroom. I was very impressed with the staff who I found to be helpful, friendly and efficient. I also likened that I did not have to keep tipping the staff and I was told that tips were not necessary during check in.

FAQs about hotels in Boston

Where Everybody Knows Your Name

One of the oldest and most historic US cities, Boston is known as "America’s Walking City". In its heart, next to 18th-century Faneuil Hall, is Quince Market - a food haven. In the nearby seaport, you can take a whale-watching trip or dine at one of the many restaurants serving a Boston specialty: lobster with melted butter.

The streets south of the peaceful Charles River in Back Bay are lined with Victorian brownstone houses. At the downtown end of one – Beacon Street – is the Cheers bar, modeled on the 80's sitcom. Opposite is Boston Common, a large park with a bronze sculpture celebrating the book "Make Way for Ducklings". The golden dome of the House of Representatives is by the other end.

The oldest part is Charlestown and streets around the Bunker Hill obelisk still feature old-style gas lamps, though now they are electric. Over in Cambridge, Harvard is the USA’s oldest and most prestigious university. The campus is open to the public, as is Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), whose central point is an emblematic, Pantheon-like building.

Sport in Boston is also a big thing, with the Celtics and Red Sox among the city’s big name teams.

The largest New England city, Boston has the perfect size for walking and cycling. Logan International Airport is connected by public transport to Boston hotels, motels, apartments and B&Bs.

It was a great trip, but it was too short because we did a whole day of sightseeing in Boston, then went to Martha’s Vineyard one day and then Salem on our next day and then unfortunately had to leave so we will be coming back to spend more time in Boston.

City full of history. Not just sports but also culture. I would suggest at least 3 days to make the most of it. Traveling 'The T' could be confusing due to on-going maintenance, check stations before you ride.

Boston is the story of American Independence and there is plenty to see if you follow the "Freedom Trail" either on your own or with one of the many guides. there is no shortage of places to eat with Italian on the North Side and Irish on the South. The museum of science is excellent as is a visit by the ferry boat to the Charlestown Naval Yard (Museum and Ships closed on Mondays). Boston is a good place to start a visit to New England especially in the Autumn to see the trees plus the Covered Bridges.

We loved Boston so much we ended up not going to Salem or Providence (nearby) so we could make the most of Boston only having 4 nights and 3 full days. Lots of things to do and see and we loved the brownstones and old historical buildings. A must see is the Sarah Isabella Gardner museum (we caught the train) and eating at Lolita Mexican restaurant in in Back Bay! We also did a Boston Duck Tour and went to the Boston Tea Party good way to learn a bit of history but not overwhelming!

Beautiful city, convenient public transportation, efficient metro subway with very reasonable price. Lots of American history places to see. Museum of Fine Arts is my favorite! Nice local people and great food. We enjoyed fried Salmon and Cod from Salty Dog Seafood and Bar.

Boston is a national treasure due to its historical value.

Boston is a national treasure due to its historical value. The quality of sites and museums was superb. Restaurants were a pleasant surprise, especially in the "Italian Quarter" -- very good food at reasonable prices. If staying in the historical area of the city, almost everything is within easy walking distance -- though the 18th Century layout of roads, whose names change block by block made navigation "interesting." Though we didn't need it, the Metro System is excellent. The entire downtown area seems very safe day and night. Our only regrets are (1) that we didn't go sooner, and (2) that we couldn't stay longer.

The best location for a short stay in Boston. The Silver line from the airport which is free (inbound) stops at 'Court House' which when you exit to the street is less than 50 feet to the front door of the hotel. The hotel is very modern, with a gym, and a rooftop bar. It is located in the very nice Seaport area but is also only a 12 minute walk to Boston South Station. The bed was sensational, the bathroom ultra modern with towel warming racks, good lighting and plenty of hot water.

The hotel is geared up for people arriving or leaving Boston Logan airport, not people staying a few days to visit Boston itself. We didn't have a US phone and had to ask another traveller for the use of their phone. We used the shuttle bus to get to the T Rail system to get into town & to get to the car hire centre. Buffet breakfast was odd but you could get enough from it, coffee available 24/7.
