Fort Collins has a vibrant city center with almost no shuttered businesses. There were plenty of decent restaurants (not so much the big Mexican one on the corner) and things to do and see. My first wife was from here but passed away in 1998. She would be shocked at how much this city has grown since our last visit in 1995. If I had to live in a city, I could do a million times worse. Fort Collins is a real hidden gem relative to its neighbor to the south (Boulder). A cool college town with wide streets, lush foliage, and a laid back vibe. Fort Collins, Colorado is a wonderful city.
Fort Collins, Colorado is a wonderful city. Not too large, and not too small. The old downtown is lovely with lots of restored vintage buildings, trendy shops, bars, and restaurants. We attended a craft show on Linden St which was closed to vehicles. It's a great place for a craft show. The hotel is located in a very cute neighborhood. Fort Collins is very lovely and we usually only drive through to Wyoming when we go to visit our family. It was delightful to stay in such a lovely historic hotel that we could walk to shopping and food.
