The weather was awesome. The town and countryside was beautiful. Most all of the people were friendly and so inviting. Enjoyed Miller’s- the food was absolutely the best!!!!!! The country is beautiful. So much to see and do. We found a milling museum in Mascot. Very interesting and free to tour. We go to Lancaster every year and never tire of it! The surrounding towns are very pretty and easy to explore.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0
In retrospect
In retrospect It is difficult to find the right mix to view and experience the quiet of farmland and Amish culture amidst bustling businesses and plenty of traffic and road construction We did enjoy the saltsburg train, Amish buggy ride and biking near Lititz. We came for the show at the sight and sound theater.
We came for the show at the sight and sound theater. We've been there about 9 times in the 30 years they have been preforming the plays. Have never disappointed us yet. They put on an great show. The one thing I didn't like was I made reservations 4-5 months in advance and planned to do the magic show and dinner theater. After I had made all the reservations and payed for the tickets they call and said the show was canceled. Be prepared for lots of places to call in for local foods, crafts and cultural experiences. A car is definitely needed. We would have appreciated another day to see more of the opportunities available. Some were overly tourist oriented whilst others were quaint. Everyone was very friendly.
