From the time we initially pulled up to the valet, everything was uphill from there. The valet attendants were all very pleasant, helpful and accommodating. Same for both bell captains, excellent! The front desk, the George, the location were ALL top-notch. Although that was our first time staying at the Durango, it certainly will not be our last time. In fact, we've already said we will be coming back next year for our annual Jazz Festival. We also shared our experience with several friends, and they will stay there as well. Thank you for a WONDERFUL experience!

Everything was great: 1. Rooms are very large and comfortable. Enough room for luggage. Beds were comfortable as well. 2. Bathroom is very large and easy to use. Shower is flat and accessible. Large bottles for shower, shampoo and conditioner are present. They also have body lotion. 3. Breakfast is really great. Food was very tasty and rich in flavor. Kids especially liked that they can make their own wafers. I loved eggs - omlets were very tasty and fluffy. 4. Pool is really lovely and pleasant. There is lot of comfortable deckchairs with tables, so you can really relax. They even have a grill for guests to use. 5. The staff at breakfast were really nice, funny and kind.

The property is accessible and not as populated as the ones in the strip. The mall was also a distance walk. I like how we were able to check in earlier. The ice refill station is just near. Their breakfast variety has been nothing but amazing. More protein or meat options next time, perhaps?

FAQs about hotels in Las Vegas

Take a Chance in Sin City

Famed for its glamorous casinos, celebrity visitors and endless streams of entertainment, Las Vegas buzzes with activity 24/7. Located in the heart of the Nevada desert, this city is called the Entertainment Capital of the World for a reason.

You can stroll down Fremont Street in old Las Vegas like a member of the Rat Pack or act like a modern high-roller at Caesar’s Palace. Prepare for a long night as the neon lights of clubs and casinos will tempt you to sink into the world of gambling and music.

Las Vegas is renowned of its fine dining, great shopping and live performances of famous artists and comedians. Right from the moment you leave McCarran International Airport you can try your luck at a slot machine, but you might want to wait until you get to the Las Vegas strip and the dozens of larger than life casinos.

When you’re ready for a break from the bustle of the city, visit the nearby Hoover Dam with the largest man-made lake, Lake Mead. The Paiute Indian Reservation in Vegas’ downtown area offers something a bit more spiritual.

Whichever type of accommodation you choose, whether a skyscraper hotel or a design city apartment, you’ll never run out of fantastic activities in Sin City. Booking.com has the perfect place to stay for your Vegas vacation.

We love Vegas, although we have noticed a significant cost increase since COVID. You can find some good deals, but you have to look quite hard. Do your research before you go. All the high end restaurants are overpriced, but there are many reasonable alternatives.

The Strip is longer than you think and the easiest way to...

The Strip is longer than you think and the easiest way to get around fast is with Uber. There are trams and monorails to move between hotels from the same chain, and apparently a bus (Deuce) that we did not use but appears to take forever. We preferred to leave the car at the hotel parking and not drive around as to get the hotel, I had to cross five lanes of highway from entering on the right and exiting on the left within 200 metres. Thankfully, it wasn't too busy on the road then. You could probably spend more time in Vegas than the one day and night we did, but if you're not aiming to gamble every night (for us, the one night was enough), you would need a programme for during the days (visit the aquarium, experience Fremont street, go for a helicopter ride or day trip to the Grand Canyon/Valley of Fire/desert etc.). We enjoyed the pool, the fountain show, the casino and then after our night stay, didn't really know how to fill our time until our flight home departed.

Prepare for Sensory Overload.

Prepare for Sensory Overload. If you walk down the strip its busy/ loud. Lots of Boy Racers with Performance ultra loud exhausts doing drag racing down the strip. You have to concentrate hard to avoid the other pedestrians/ not get run down by a car/ avoid being a pickpocket victim/ avoid the panhandlers and scammers approaching you or trying to distract you. Not a good place for children or the elderly or people who are stressed by too much going on etc. There are some high level sidewalks which are useful but it takes a while to work out which stairs to enter / leave these and when to cross the road. I worked it out by the time I had to leave. It still worth exploring/ walking into other hotels and casinos where you are not a guest- just to see what they are like for your next visit- the Venetian is very impressive inside- especially the St Marks Square replica on the upper floor. And there are hidden shopping Malls im some Resort Hotels. Even if you are not a gambler there is stuff to occupy you. A lot of attendees are there for conventions / Stag/ Batchelor Parties/ Hen/ Bachelorette parties so theres lots of hard drinking and celebrating happening- Having written all that- its something worth doing once in your life.

Plan your visit and do a food walking tour to orientate yourself around Las Vegas. Maverick helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon and Hoover dam is a must do experience. It is expensive but so worth it and you fly down the strip at the end! You have to do a show in Vegas, we did Cirque de Soleils Mystique, still don’t know what it was about but the acts were superb!

We liked the room and we liked the resort and location.

We liked the room and we liked the resort and location. The housekeeping was not good nor was the shower head functioning with hot water. We were told we would receive a rebate for a night off due to these issues. However when we received our bill from the credit card they only deleted the resort fee for 1 night not the room itself. We checked with their billing department and they verified that was all that was reduced. We did not use resort amenities for 2 of the nights we stayed so it was an insignificant reduction for us. I would not recommend staying here.

A hidden Las Vegas gem, nestled in between the Bellagio and the Cosmopolitan. The hotel itself has no restaurant or bar of its own, but there is a small shop with a selection of drinks and snacks, and there is direct access from the Jockey Club to the Cosmopolitan (where there's plenty of choices in that regard), so this is not really an issue. The hotel is located on The Strip, so it can' really get any more central than that.

The location, hotel and easy communication with owners who are there to provide a great service not in it just for the money. After more than three months staying in rental accommodation in USA and Canada, this was the best. Short walk to monorail in MGM Grand via covered internal walkway, Las Vegas Boulevard (the strip), Park MGM for concert and dining at the outstanding brunch buffet at the Cosmopolitan.
