The staff was very kind and helpful. It was the second time for us there, the location is great, and the "kick back" is very convenient, especially on a business trip.

Excellent hotel. Everything we needed - couldn't ask for anything more. Great location: close enough to French Quarter (walking distance), quick access to public transport (street cars), but far enough from the noise. Fantastic views of the river. Very comfortable and spacious rooms; great bedding and amenities. Check-out only at 12pm.

We liked the location, a nice compromise with the French Quarter a 10 minute walk one way and the art galeries, city museums and fine dining the other. This is a recently “created” property in a historic building. Beautiful classic lobby, with new rooms.

Everything was awesome. Starting from the location … one block from Bourbon Street with its bars, music venues and restaurants … but completely quiet when one decides to retire from the nightlife. Beautiful suites with large living room, large bed room, kitchenette … the works. Large common space with a (smallish) pool. Very welcoming homely service

FAQs about hotels in New Orleans

Getting its Rhythm Back

The home of jazz, intriguing New Orleans evokes images of Louis Armstrong, wrought-iron balconies and mouth-watering Cajun cuisine. Louisiana’s largest city, the Big Easy is the beating heart of the Deep South.

Dance down Bourbon Street, where jazz saxophones ring out of traditional bars mixed with more colorful nightlife and entertainment venues. There are several New Orleans hotels near Bourbon Street, spread around the French Quarter with its distinctive Creole architecture.

To the south is Jackson Square, dominated by St. Louis Cathedral. Horses and carts wait patiently by the square, and locals set up their stools and start playing catchy tunes. Just behind is the legendary Mississippi River whose waters are still plied by paddle steamers.

From the river you get great views of the CBD (downtown) skyscrapers and the Louisiana Superdome. Booking.com has several hotels nearby, including some on Canal Street, where streetcars and the famous New Orleans Mardi Gras carnival pass down.

In the northern suburbs is New Orleans City Park, one of the oldest US parks and larger than NYC’s Central Park. Waterways lining it flow into large Lake Pontchartrain bordered by a bayou.

    New Orleans did not disappoint!

New Orleans did not disappoint! We hit Washington Square, enjoyed a Steamboat Dinner, grabbed snacks from Kay’s Food Mart, and had an incredible meal at Mambo’s — and that’s just a few highlights. The list goes on! We had an absolute blast exploring the city’s energy, food, and music. Honestly, we need a vacation after the vacation — that’s how good it was!

Don’t drink the cocktails on the Natchez, they are lethal.

Don’t drink the cocktails on the Natchez, they are lethal. French quarter not best place to stay if you are looking to sleep at night. It would have been better for me, from a personal point of view, to stay somewhere quieter and just visit the French quarter. The cars and sirens all night keep you awake then the boats on the Mississippi blow their horns from early in the morning, all through the morning it would see. Swamp tour excellent on the big boat, alligators in abundance. Great captain.

There seemed to have lots of activities to do but all are scheduled in the PM. We will plan to stay longer next time to see more of New Orleans. At night, the street smelled like pee. Thank goodness it rained that night and washed away the street. Loved seeing lots of stores. Getting around New Orleans was a little tricky. The streets names are imprinted on the corner sidewalk.

We keep returning to New Orleans - the culture, food, music, art, people - it's a magical place that always has something new to offer. There is a fest or parade every weekend of the year. Every season there is a reason to visit. The list of restaurants to try never ends.

Travelling solo in USA for a few months and this is by far the best hotel I've stayed at in the first month, was only about £100 more for a week than it would have been in a days inn for example and it's a whole lot better. No problems what so ever with the hotel. Very clean and nice staff. Location is great for french quarter and the main city. Tours can come and pick you up from literally round the corner. Would stay again definitely.

Best Hotel on our trip through the South. Modern, super clean, lots of space, well equipped and pretty quiet. It's very close to the "Hood" but fenced parking area, a doorman and Security from Hospital next door gives you a good feeling. It's just 10 min to French Quarter and Canal St. Unbeatable at this price, will recommend it to everyone who likes to visit NO.

The hotel is located in the Warehouse District - a good location for accessing many parts of New Orleans on foot - including the WWII museum (5 min walk), Canal Street, Bourbon Street, the water front and the French Quarter (20 min walk).
