We didn’t expect a lot and we were positively surprised. Hotel looks even better than on photos. Room was big enough for our 4. There is free transport to the airport. The staff is very friendly, we arrived a little bit earlier and there wasn’t any problem to check in earlier (ofc we were lucky because it depends on rooms availability, but it was great that man on the reception did it for us). Restaurant looks very nice, and the breakfast was very good.

The breakfast was eat as you can and even though not directly accessible from the airport but the taxi driver didn't have problems locating it. It's just 7 to 10 minutes from the airport.

    From the periodic information passengers were able to get my United flight to Portland Maine was repeatedly delayed and then cancelled because the plane would not be able to land once it arrived. Apparently the problems on 4 September were building up throughout the day. Before the flight from LA landed my daughter in Sydney, Australia messaged me to tell there were ”shenanigans” at Newark.

    By far the worst experience of my life!

    By far the worst experience of my life! I've traveled around the world for the last 50 years, but I had never experienced such a terrible experience as I did at the Howard Johnson EWA ! I strongly recommend you eliminate that hotel from the listing!

    I liked the train and the fact that for the most part they run on time. Ate at iHOP, Meal was lovely but a little pricey. Stayed in the hotel the next day and ordered Chinese food. This was fantastic and tremendous value for money.

    Area was downtown Newark and typical of such Urban areas. The only nearby pharmacy was closed at 500 in the afternoon. The convenience store nearby quoted one price for my transaction, then charged $11 plus dollars extra. My fault for bot raking a receipt. Blight of anything decent to eat within walking distance but then there's Uber Eats and Doir Dash. I had to walk 20 minutes to the nearest pharmacy, a Walgreens but it was well equipped and lots of restaurants nearby. Near the hotel, lots of historic churches and buildings. All in all, it was a pleasant stay and I would stay there agai

    Could never reach a help from booking.com for the problem I...

    Could never reach a help from booking.com for the problem I had. Arriving at the place I notice a email letting me know the room was not available any more. Even I HAD PAID ALREADY. I did try to reach the owner and Booking.com No success. Until now I don’t have idea how to get the reimbursement.

    I visit my son in Newark every month.

    I visit my son in Newark every month. As a single father who wants to spend quality time a son, Newark offers many places to visit. American dream mall its just 20 mins away and you can spend a good day with a lot of entertaiments, recreations, restaurants, and more. I like visit Newark for its closines to NY city too. People are nice, police officer are nice, food is great, I never get borde in Newark.

    Was staying here to see Jin of BTS in Prudential Center. Staff are so nice and was so excited to have so many BTS ARMYs staying at the hotel! They were even playing BTS' music at the front desk! The complimentary breakfast is so good and so many options to choose from! The shuttle from airport was so convenient and the drivers are so friendly as well! Will definitely stay here again when I get the chance to come back!

    The hotel is very close to the Newark International Airport so it was perfect for me since I had a late flight in. It worked wonderfully for me. The room was surprisingly big, well-equipped with amenities - they might come in handy for those staying longer than just one night. Also the commute to Manhattan is unproblematic. The breakfast was humble but still varied. It was all I needed and expected.

    Good value hotel. We stayed for 3 nights to visit NYC. The best and cheapest way to go there from the hotel is to take an Uber to Newark train station (10-20 dollar, 10 min) and then a train to New York train station (6 dollar) or PACT metro (3.50 dollar) to WTC (25 min). The airport train station is only accesible by the monorail and train tickets to NYC much more expensive.

    Close to the airport with shuttle service. Large room with a very good breakfast. We would have stayed another night when our flight was cancelled but hotel was sold out. The hotel we chose after this one although of supposed higher status and expense was not as good as this one. Good value here with no disappointment.

    Rooms are clean and beds were comfortable. Shuttle to airport was on time and was flexible enough to drive to my terminal for departure. The choice of breakfast items was ok. Staff were ok, but could have been more welcoming and a smile doesn't hurt for a guest coming to your hotel for the 1st time after a long flight.
