    Easy access to Mount Rushmoor, Custer State Park and the amazing Needle Highway, the latter was the highlight of out two-week trip from Salt Lake City through the transit parks, including Yellowstone.

    We only stayed 2 nights with one real day.

    We only stayed 2 nights with one real day. Didn’t see Deadwood, explore Keystone, except to see Mt Rushmore, didn’t have time to see Crazy Horse, or other places nearby. One full day for the Badlands and Wall (drug), and easily 1.5 hours at Mount Rushmore.

    The location is great for seeing several national parks.

    The location is great for seeing several national parks. We will recommend staying in Rapid City, just not Microtel. Mt. Rushmore was beautiful, even tho we’ve been before. We toured the motorcycle museum in Sturgis too.

    Rapid City is full of surprising charm, with presidential statues seemingly on every street corner adding a unique touch to the cityscape. The food scene is great, offering plenty of tasty spots to enjoy after a day of exploring. Definitely worth a visit!

    We enjoyed our stay. Hotel was within a 1/2 of the airport. Plenty of sites to see within a reasonable distance from the hotel. I wish there were more “truly”gluten free restaurants available for those with gluten allergies.

    Big city for South Dakota, but a really quaint small-town...

    Big city for South Dakota, but a really quaint small-town feel. Residents are friendly and nice. Area around the hotel was clean and well-kept. One of the few cities that I have felt safe moving around. Would love to go back in the future.

    The hotel is new and in tip-top condition. Our room was well furbished, everything was clean, and breakfast provided us with a great start to the day. We particularly appreciated the nice receptionists who were always in a great mood and ready to help us with any questions we had. The hotel is also well situated if you are mainly staying in Rapid City to explore the Black Hills and Badlands.

    Great breakfast and friendly staff. The room, common areas and parking area felt clean. Great location - it's between Downtown and a small shopping area near Kohl's and Best Buy. Getting to the other shopping areas was easy due to the hotels close location to an exit on the interstate.

    Lovely apartment close to centre. Comfortable bed & great shower. Kitchen is well stocked although a kettle would be useful. Apartment does not get much natural light which makes the lounge area very dark . All in all we had a great stay in Rapid City .
