Most shops lean touristy (so many jewelry stores) but in the plaza you can find local artisans selling. The food scene is excellent. I have been coming to Santa Fe for over 20 years, mostly to the Opera. I had stay in all kind of accommodations. It is a pilgrimage to the soul. I had enjoyed the museums, the open, the choral the chamber music, the Indian market, the international market, the sSpanish market, the armers market. Mostly the food, like no other place.
