We tried a local restaurant -- SHALLOW WATERS. Just a little bit out of the town -- maybe 4-5 miles. Well worth the drive. Exceptional cuisine. Cordon Bleu trained Chef. Lovely staff and so accomodating.
Getting around was a bit more challenging! lots of one-way streets - lol...

A nice sculpture park nearby, as well as direct access to a Nature Preserve boardwalk. The deer are pretty friendly, but not tame. The downtown shopping district is about 2 by 5 blocks. Nice bookstores and more.

We traveled with our dog.
We traveled with our dog. There was a park close by where dogs could walk. The food was good. The hot tub just right temperature. Staff very helpful and it was very clean. The green circle trails are a great idea. Dogs are allowed on the majority of them. Staff super helpful. Kyle was especially helpful.

The beds were actually so comfortable which I find to not be the case more and more often with hotels. We all had great sleep, all the facilities were in great working order and staff was kind and helpful in the middle of the night when I needed cold medicine and my husband could go get it for me.

Andrew at the front desk is by far the best customer service rep, hotel employee, etc., my family and I have ever encountered! Absolutely wonderful demeanor, professional, knowledgeable, happy, just fantastic!
