My recent stay at Tanoa Tusitala hotel in Apia exceeded all expectations. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience. Despite my early morning arrival, they accommodated me with a seamless check-in process, which was incredibly helpful after a long flight. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, providing a peaceful retreat after a busy day of work. The hotel's central location made it convenient for accessing key business areas and local attractions during my downtime. What truly stood out was the exceptional level of service provided by the friendly and attentive staff. Whether it was arranging transportation or providing recommendations for dining options, they were always willing to assist with a smile. Big comfortable fale with 2 beds and a fan. Perfect for a one night or 2 night stay. Breakfast was small but good enough. Staff were super friendly and there was no issues checking in very late at night.

Room service whenever needed, just needed to hang sign on door if you wanted it or not. Friendly staff members who stops to chat with you. Security guard on site, and he is really friendly. He would ask if we needed help with any luggage daily, because we will leave in the morning and. One back late at night, just to shower and sleep. Location is right across from the market and in between 2 main big supermarkets. So you can pop out to get essentials or food.

Phat burger good burger & cocktails Georgie’s pizza - local recommendation, very cheesy pizza Cafe Cornwall did amazing breakfast, frappe & milksakes! Piula water cave, Togitogiga Waterfall (free), to-sua trench and the clam sanctuary were our favourite activities.

Even when I’m here for work, it still feels like a getaway – the pace of life is relaxed, the people are incredibly friendly, and the natural beauty all around makes every day feel special. There’s a great balance between local culture, good food, and spots to unwind. Whether it’s enjoying a cold drink by the water, exploring the markets, or just soaking up the atmosphere, Apia always delivers a memorable experience.

    There is so much more to Samoa to see than just Apia.

    There is so much more to Samoa to see than just Apia. There are many beautiful resorts on the southern side of the island and many great snorkelling spots. 2 restaurants we enjoyed in Apia with Paddles and Giodarno's. We hired a car which made getting around alot easier & I would highly recommend

    Great Staff very friendly and helpful. The ladies on the desk were great in suggesting venues to visit. Yvonne and her team in the restaurant were fabulous. Rooms are very clean and serviced every day. We had a great time highly recommend this hotel

    Apia is stuck in 70s timewarp.

    Apia is stuck in 70s timewarp. Slow, relaxed, friendly with limited options for food and entertainment. We loved it. We hired rental cars which gave us more options and also visited Savaii and the southern part of Upolu. The snorkeling is great and no boats required.

    I was born and raised here, but now live in Australia. The saying goes, there is no place like home. It literally is. My heart is always in Samoa, but for a better future financially is the reason most Samoans move out of Samoa. I highly recommend Samoa for their layback lifestyle and deep their deep rooted in tradition if you want to experience tradition and our culture way of life. Also their natural beautiful scenery, but most of all our friendly people.

    This turned out to be a very spacious home on land 2-3 times the size it would commonly be in Australia, New Zealand or North America. It was wonderful to be dealing with a very responsive, refined and intelligent local Samoan lady with excellent English. She was also quite flexible and adapted to various personal requests both before and after our reservation; then again when we were on site. The internet and air-conditioning worked like a dream during our stay.

    Breakfast was tasty, varied, well presented and filling. For dinner I took myself to nearby eateries, as suggested by staff. Both establishments were very satisfactory. A walk into Apia took me 20 minutes, a cab fare was 5 Tala. I liked the reception area of the Samoan Outrigger, a nicely appointed airy room with some antique furnishings and old photographs on the wall. The garden and pool area were pleasant locations to relax in.

    The staff were great and food was delicious. Also the location was perfect as it’s right in the centre of Town plus the pool was nice and cold which we used often because it’s always 30degrees in Samoa!
