Etienne and his team made us feel very welcomed and our game drives were super special and adventurous. No rush, no fixed times, no big groupes, very individual and special. We had three fantastic days at Amakhala Game Reserve, Bush Lodge. The tents were very comfortable and the food very good. The game drives were amazing. Our game driver Jono did a super job. very enthusiastic, very knowledgeable information given during the drives and he was fantastic at spotting the animals and very dedicated to making sure we saw as much and varied as possible.

Offering an intimate Big 5 safari experience, Quatermain's 1920's Safari Camp features a boma bonfire and BBQ facilities. It is located in the Amakhala Game Reserve.

Arriving at Leeuwenbosch is like stepping back to a time of gracious living. The house was built in 1908 and has large rooms tastefully decorated and full of antiques and family portraits. Frint of house Kerry welcomed us and gave a guided tour of the property. Her husband Steve was also on hand to make sure we were comfortable. Our guide Ouboet was exceptionally knowledgeable, not only in fauna and flora, but also in the area’s history. All the staff were smiling and courteous.

Stunning place, absolute luxury for tents in the Bush, in the middle of nowhere. Such a treat to live almost alongside the animals (from a safe distance!) and to observe in natural surroundings. Saw so many beautiful creatures and I loved that the lodge was respectful and conscious of the environment in terms of the minimal impact construction of the accommodation (beautifully equipped luxury tents) and yet struck a really lovely balance with comfort and beautiful design. A very special experience that we will treasure forever.

Lalibela Game Reserve - Inzolo Lodge offers accommodation 43 km from Addo Elephant National Park. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Some rooms feature a seating area where you can relax.

Beautiful rooms and a very private, exclusive lodge. It felt like something from Hemmingway, with fireplaces for cooler evenings, but white tablecloths and excellent food/wines. The game drives were excellent and our guide was very knowledgeable. We saw a family of cheetahs chase and kill a deer, which was a highlight of the trip. One day it rained and the elephants (15 or so) came out to play and bathe in the pond below the lodge. Fantastic!
