A fantastic beachfront area, it feels perfectly safe moving around along the promenade, police and cleaners always visible. Daytime. Great beaches, you can enjoy the sun and the sea all year round. Ushaka aquarium and dolphinarium is world class. Minitown is good to visit for children. Go shopping at Musgrave Centre, still a really great place to shop! The natural history museum (science, with stuffed animals, is amazing and should be visited by all, behind the city hall, free entry), easy to park behind the Royal Hotel there, the football stadium is great, Mitchell Park, and the restaurants around the Florida Road area are well worth a visit. We always enjoy the beautiful sea when visiting Durban, along with the wide variety of activities along the beachfront, such as the dolphin and seal shows. A visit to uShaka Marine World is always a highlight. Exploring the Ballito and Umhlanga areas is equally pleasant, offering charming sights and relaxing experiences. Gateway Mall is more than just a shopping destination; we especially enjoyed the go-karting there. One of the most memorable attractions was Crocodile Creek, home to over 500 crocodiles. Umhlanga is always a treat, everything is withing walking distance, so you can park your car on arrival and only use if again when you leave, lots of restaurants in area, shopping options, and fantastic hotels and accommodation! One of my personal favorites is Oyster Box, very welcoming, luxurious and the food is quite honestly amazing! I have yet to try a dish that i don't love, (breakfast, lunch & dinner) and it has the most amazing views.
