    Very cute, has some nice shopping centres, nicely located...

    Very cute, has some nice shopping centres, nicely located between Cape Town and Stellenbosch, nothing is a far drive. There can be some traffic on week days though, but if you leave earlier in the morning it's fine. Quiet place, easy to drive around or get an uber. Lots of wine farms near by and some great restaurants (trip advisor and google both have good lists for these). Some great hikes that are nearby as well.

    The city is well laid out and it's easy to find your way.

    The city is well laid out and it's easy to find your way. There are some hidden gems which could be better popularised. All the amenities one would need are to be found in Somerset West and it is within easy reach of Cape Town. There are some excellent restaurants and vineyards within easy reach.

    Loved the area, close to Strand Beach, but couldn't find local restaurants only the Somerset Mall. Maybe more info should be provided about where the local facilities are so one doesn't spend unnecessary time driving up and down hoping to find the local stores.

    There is so much to do in and around Somerset West (scenic drives, fruit farms, wine farms, olive farms, historic sites, etc.), and the summer weather is fantastic. Great proximity to Cape Town, the airport, etc.

    Sleepy little town.

    Sleepy little town. Very beautiful nestled between mountains and the ocean. Lots of restaurants, stores and wine farms conveniently located. Absolutely able to walk around, but good Über coverage as well. The Main Road is the spine of the town, and is dotted with artisenal burger restaurants, Sushi and more local fare.

    It is located near Stellenbosch and a reasonable drive from Cape Town. All the amenities you need including shopping, cinema, restaurants etc. Depending on the time of year the weather (it was cold when we visited this year)it is an ideally situated location.

    Loved our stay, such a well designed space with everything you need for a short stay. The quality of the linen was the best during our 6 weeks in South Africa. Great location close to big wine estates. Nice welcome and secure parking, excellent value for money. Would stay again when passing through Somerset West.

    As a single traveller I felt very safe, it’s situated in an excellent part of Somerset West. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. My room was spotless and the hosts had clearly thought of every detail to make sure I had a great stay. I’d love to stay there again.
