Great mix of old and new! The workmanship done to refurbish and rebuild this old castle into a mix of old and modern is beyond perfect .Our room was big, comfy, clean, full of amenities, and thoughtfully and artfully finished. The workers were all pleasant and helpful. Food was delicious and very plentiful and a bargain that was included in our room price. . We received delicious cheese filled warm Pita and dessert in the afternoon, a sit down dinner with freshly made soup, salad with fresh herbs, stew and dessert. Breakfast had a fresh delicious buffet and then we were served delicious cooked eggs and fresh pita with cheese This is a unique hotel for someone who loves the countryside and wants to stay in a castle. The atmosphere, architecture, upper lookout patios, garden trails, water hole and museum tour were extra bonuses . The newly planted gardens was wonderful and will be a delight to see when in bloom and in years to come.

I came to this hotel with high expectations, since they are rate 9,9 in booking.com, the highest score After i experiences it, i can says yes definitely 9,9.. the effort they gives to us eventhough stays only for 1 night, it's amaziing !! I never experiences level service like this in my life The location are very strategic, pretty close to grand bazaar and hagia sophia We came at the afternoon..they explain everything about the hotel service. They also give us upgade, awesome..coincidentally i came on my birthday, and they surprise us with cake Meanwhile room are very beautiful, we love it They pay attention for every little things..they even write welcoming letter handwriting! For one night guess !! I still bring this letter with me ;) What amaze me more, this hotel established more than 10 years..to maintain this level of service excellence it's not easy, but they done it Just like the hotel name, they serve us like President , Thank you for giving us great time mr Harun !

Super friendly and helpful staff, helped us figure out getting to Ephesus ancient city. Great location near Temple of Artemis, Ephesus museum and walkable to Selçuk restaurant zone. Turkish breakfast was a taste treat each morning.

We did not expect the quite exceptional experience we had at the Akanthus Hotel. The owners have thought of every detail - and have created a homely, welcoming environment for their guests. At no point did we feel as if we were staying in a hotel. We felt welcomed into a home. Turkish tea and cake was available at no cost all day. The rooms are designed with beautiful little touches, like antique artwork, a perfect choice of calming music in the public areas, the central pool with its fabulous views over the old city and also a very practical room layout - especially the en suite bathroom design. And we were in the smallest of 12 rooms (soon to expand to 17 rooms). The breakfast - Wow! We are already planning an extended stay here to take advantage of their ideal location in the old town of Selçuk, very close to the ancient city of Ephesus and the last home of the Virgin Mary / Meryem. We felt part of this historic place, thanks our new friends at the Akanthus and the haven of peace and tranquility they have created here.

All staff is very open, helpful and very sensitive to guests' needs. I particularly want to say thank you to Mr. Kadır for helping with the transfer and additional city information, to the lady in charge with the room service and to the ladies from the kitchen. The cleanliness in the rooms is perfect. I had the best rest on the perfect bed. The breakfast is absolutely fabulous, the location could not be better. I am absolutely impressed.

The hotel was located on top of the hill, just 1min walk to the highest view point. The facilities were amazing in the hotel as well as the staff and Ahmet was an amazing host. He helped us with all our bookings and guided us like our very own family member. We felt we were at home. The breakfast was great with a lot of options and lipsmackingly delicious. Overall it was an amazing stay and would definitely recommend.

This was my second stay at Z-Villa, and once again, everything was absolutely perfect! The villa is clean, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The location is ideal — quiet yet close to everything.
