Incredible value for money, absolutely gorgeous rooms, amazing breakfast. Although it's not in the city there's a direct bus right outside of the hotel.

Family-run since 1912, the non-smoking, adults-only Bergland Hotel offers a quiet location in the centre of Salzburg, only a 10-minute walk from Mirabell Palace, the Congress Centre, and the main train station, and a 15-minute walk from the Old Town. Free WiFi is available. This accommodation definitely exceeded my expectations! The single room was just lovely; very clean and spacious with a very well-sized bathroom. The staff was so lovely and the breakfast had many healthy options, which was definitely a bonus compared to the more standard options we usually encounter in hotels. I loved my room so much, that I found it hard to say goodbye towards the end of my stay. Location-wise, it is situated very close to the centre (roughly 10 minutes away) but it is so much more quiet, which was an advantage. I will definitely stay here again when I re-visit Salzburg!
