Our rooms are designed with traditional Japanese aesthetics, featuring tatami mat flooring throughout. For those who prefer a futon on tatami or a bed, we also offer Japanese-Western style rooms. The warm ambiance is further enhanced by local artists' paintings adorning the walls. We went as a group and we loved the ryokan. It was very spacious, everything was very clean, and it was conveniently located near the bus station, the train station, and the city center where most of the shopping takes place. The rooms were the most spacious we stayed in throughout Japan, and the staff were all very kind. I would definitely stay here again.

The room is beautiful, with paper window shutters and sliding paper doors. There was a toilet inside and a basin in the entrance. Bath - the highlight. The bath is clean, and is perfect to come back to after a day of sightseeing. Staff - didn’t have much interaction, but the receptionists were extremely polite, as is standard for hotels in Japan, and the older gentlemen who showed us to the rooms was extremely helpful and polite. He brought our suitcases up in the service lift so we didn’t have to lug them up the stairs. Location - perfect, barely a 5 minute walk from the station, and another 5 minutes to the historic streets. Plenty of restaurants and shopping around.

What a wonderful and elegant place! Very friendly staff, delicious Japanse breakfast, beautiful interior design and nice quiet location.
This little slice of heaven was a perfect retreat and immersion into traditional Japanese-style living. Absolutely everything was so perfect in every way. From the Daifuku treats on arrival (by far the most incredible Japanese sweets we have ever savoured) to the refreshments in the minibar, the traditional outdoor bath, futon style bedding, yukatas to wear during our stay, the impeccable interior design and styling.
Very stylish design ?comfortable room , and liked the bar with beautiful small outside garden . Great location for restaurants and easy walk to the station .
The interior design is exceptional. The space is best for family. There are enough supplies for cleaning.
Beautifully designed, lovely staff and a great onsen. Very small place with really great personal service.
Lovely property at the edge of town, with simple minimal design feeling like a home away from home. The owners were super welcoming and helpful, provide drives to and from the station and the dinner was just divine, one of the best meals we had in Japan! A very special wine tasting experience too - highly recommended overall!
The interior Design ist classy and fits the mood of Takayama as a whole. The rooms are spacious and the beds are fantastic, also a lot of pillows.
Private bath, beautiful facilities, very convenient location (two minute walk to the station), very lovely staff. Had USB + USBC outlets in the room which was super convenient gorgeous modern design
Great location in a lovely town. Exterior and interior looks very classy yet modern (wooden design). Very friendly staff, free drinks (incl. sake tasting) and cute little spa area. Would definitely recommend spending at least two nights here. Lots to do in town (great food, sake breweries, old folk villages, etc.).
