Oh, Iroha…. Where do I begin?
We were greeted by the friendliest and kindest front desk staff, both of the ladies were extremely welcoming and helpful. They asked about our dinner plans and book us a table at a wonderful place. As this was the first place in Japan with Onsen that we stayed at we were explained how to prepare and what are the rules. We went there in the late evening, it was empty and from the outside bath you could enjoy the amazing views of Itsikushima Shrine, just magical!
Also we were given a free upgrade to queen suite which we did not expect at all and it was incredible. I could not recommend enough this place and staying at Miyajima Island over night in general. You can’t fully experience the unique charm and beauty of this place by coming just for few hours. Come for a night or two and stay at Iroha, I can guarantee it will be a highlight of your Japan trip!
Thank you for having us!

-G7 Hiroshima Summit 2023 Venue-
Overlooking the Seto Inland Sea, Grand Prince Hotel is located a 15-minute drive from central Hiroshima. The hotel offers 5 dining options, a outdoor pool (only summer) and hot spring baths. The hotel is featured in Michelin Green Guide Japan 2013. A free shuttle is available from Hiroshima Station, a 30-minute ride away.
The view, the view, the view. Plus, the hotel was very elegant. Extra bonus is the hydrofoil boat that docks outside the hotel that takes you to and from Itsukushima Island. The hotel was the site of the G7 conference in 2023, with lots of photos documenting the summit. The hotel is also used for weddings, and we got to watch the end of a lovely wedding, with the new bride and groom walking up a three-story circular stairway, while the wedding guests applauded the couple from the balconies overlooking the three-story central grand lobby. Just lovely.

Miyajima
Reopened in April 2014 after renovations, Miyajima Morinoyado offers comfortable guest rooms and a spacious public bath. It is a 1-minute walk to Miyajima Aquarium and a 15-minute to Itsukushima Shrine. From the free shuttle, to the welcoming staff and just the overall experience, it was amazing. The location is absolutely great as it's just outside the busy area, across the aquarium (which we can recommend) and the start of one of the three routes up Mt. Misen. It's quiet, the view from our seaside room was gorgeous and the food so tasty. Do not hesitate, book here! I certainly will if I come back to Miyajima!

Great place, very clean, great style and interior design
Great location, very helpful staff, feels young and trendy in design and facilities.
Amazing stay at Azumi Setoda, probably one of the best accommodation of our trip. The room is beautifully furnished, the hotel overall has a great design. The staff was super welcoming and helpful. I also highly recommend the restaurant and the onsen!
Stylish design, staff, location, restaurant
The hotel designer needs a raise because the hotel was nothing short of elegance and pure luxury! And of course the hotel staff matched the hotel's energy. Amazing customer service 👏 Breakfast was great! Don't think twice if you're thinking about booking!
The Knot was the best place we stayed at during our 3 week trip in Japan—so much so that we were surprised it was within our budget. Great interior design, wonderfully comfortable rooms with aircon and air purifier. Absolutely adored the roof top bar and thought the Knot Coins were a cute added bonus. The location was walking distance from all the attractions we wanted to see and the staff were attentive and accommodating. Would definitely recommend others to stay there and we look forward to staying there again ourselves.
Really nice and modern. Great design. Rooms were spacious and clean. Lovely rooftop bar.
The idea is great, converting an old warehouse into a bicycle boutique hotel. Simple, minimalistic, but very japanese design, with nicely aging materials.
Hotel Cycle is very stylish. The rooms are naturally dark but well lit and the design is tasteful. As we were about to cycle three days on Shimanami Kaido we loved the cycle theme of the hotel and it’s near the rental places. The restaurant for dinner was excellent and the breakfast really varied and healthy. There are also lovely produce and gift shops in the building.
