Situated at the base of the wild Tsitsikamma Mountains, The Fernery overlooks an impressive 30-metre waterfall in the Sanddrift River gorge. The deck area boasts a cocktail bar and free WiFi is available throughout. Amazing location! Breathtaking views, staff were amazing. Got a free room upgrade for the second room also. Used the sauna room, had dinner as well as breakfast the next morning before heading off to the garden route national park!! Def recommended. Best accommodation on the garden route!

Head over Hills is an exclusive retreat in Knysna. Set on the jagged edge of the famous rocky cliffs of the Knysna Heads, this well-appointed guest house has a heated swimming pool.

Each room here will provide you with a TV, air conditioning and a private balcony. There is also a small SMEG fridge in the room, and the en suite bathroom is fitted with a bath and a shower. You can enjoy a sea view from each room, while other rooms also offer a mountain view. I LOVED the croissants...they are Devine. Dinner was fine, but the menu is limited. For a small establishment I got to understand why the dinner menu was so limited in choice.

The staff were exceptional (thank you, Dee and Michelle), and the rooms were top-class, with comfortable beds and fresh, clean linen. Kitchen appliances were a helpful convenience, and small touches like beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, etc... made our trip most memorable. The views from the rooms are absolutely amazing, and the restaurant below adds a great holiday vibe!

Offering views of the Keurboom Lagoon and the ocean, La Vista Lodge is a 3-minute drive from the centre of Plettenberg Bay. It features an outdoor pool with sun loungers.

Elegantly decorated, all rooms and suites come with a balcony and are equipped with a satellite TV, tea-and-coffee facilities, and a minibar. The private bathrooms have a bath and a separate shower. The spacious Honeymoon Suite has panoramic views of the ocean and the lagoon. This guesthouse was truly luxury and beauty, my wife and I were upgraded to the honeymoon suite and it was amazing. The space and view in the morning of the bay was incredible, since we arrived at night, couldnt tell but in the morning were in awe at the view. It had everything we needed as we all as the location being close and central to everything. Would definitely stay here again on the next visit! Also the breakfast in the morning was fantastic, and staff were extremely nice.

Accommodation comes with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and a coffee maker. Some suites have a furnished patio, while others have a furnished balcony. We loved the beautiful art and decor, super friendly hosts and spectacular view. One of the best breakfasts ever - thank you to all for our wonderful stay - wish we’d more time in Wilderness!

Offering an outdoor pool and a cosy lounge and bar, Parkes Manor is a classic, historical house located within 2 km from the Knysna Waterfront.

The country-style suites are elegantly decorated and feature under-floor heating, a sofa and air conditioning. It includes a desk, safe and en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower. Some suites offer a view of the Knysna lagoon. Just amazing, communication, welcome, facilities, cleanliness, extra touches, breakfast all deserve 11/10 as a minimum. Truly special experience

The suites offer sea views. Alexander guest house was an incredible stay. The location on the cliffs is breathtaking. The staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful, and the attention to detail was fantastic. The photos don't do it justice.. Our only regret was not staying long enough!!

Dolphin Dunes Guesthouse has very useful location, quite easy to come by car. And very nice stairs to go to the beach

Falcons View Manor is 1 km from Knysna Harbour, where you can rent a boat and explore the Knysna National Lakes Area. The hotel is 5 km from Simola Golf Club, which was designed by the great Jack Nicklaus. My stay at Falcons Manor exceeded expectations. I stayed for a week and planned to do hiking and yoga while in the area. The staff were superb, they provided great advice, connected me with local services and guides; they were thoughtful and helpful. The food was excellent, dinners and breakfast. The breakfast choices were many, with lots of fresh fruits and great coffee. The pool was great and the gardens are lovely. A very relaxing and quiet location. I can’t recommend the place enough! Thank you for everything!
