The friendly and attentive staff. Welcoming drink was champagne. We had a stench issue with the room that we booked and we were immediately upgraded to a suite, an initiative from the hotel ! Thank you Rixos. The indoor pool and spa facilities for guests were amazing. Breakfast was superb.

This hotel is newly refurbished and the rooms are very clean. The breakfast was lovely, and there was a great selection, including gluten-free options. Every staff member was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located on a quiet road about 5-10 minutes walk from Lapad restaurants, bars, and sunset beach. The no 6 bus is located approximately 200 metres up the road, and it goes into the old town every 10 minutes. There is a shop near the bus stop. It is also close to Gruz Port, where you can get a ferry to Hvar. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The location is perfect, half way between Old Town and Lapad, so it was an easy walk to all the touristy places. Even better, it’s a couple of minutes walk to Bellevue Beach which is an excellent spot to spend a hot day! Also, Cvetka was super nice and lovely, and made me feel welcomed from the beginning. She helped me with recommendations about where to go and what to do. Overall Dubrovnik is beautiful and I plan to come back, and will definitely stay with Cvetka again! :)

The host was amazing. We have travelled to over 60 countries, and the host of the Ortenca Apartment must be the kindest host we have ever encountered. Helpful, positive, and very attentive. The apartment was in excellent condition, perfect for a family of four or two couples travelling together. The location is superb, quite yet very central. Trust me, you do not want to live close by the old town. Next time we travel to Dubrovnik we will be back!!
