Location is central, next to Chinatown and close to the originally Dutch old town (Kota Tua). Chinatown starts right at the back of the hotel and it is walkable to the central square of Kota Tua. We were upgraded to better rooms and they were really spacious and comfortable. Staff is very friendly and accomodating. The hotel seemed extremely clean and not particularly worn out. Sound proofing of windows is decent (we even stayed during Ramadan). Transportation to and from the airport is easy enough, price with the Bluebird taxi app only about 10 EUR.

House of Tugu is a marvellous place. Located in the colonial old town of Jakarta it showcases an incredible array of antiques, statues, paintings etc. It is a museum on its own right. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food is very good. Prices are relatively high (for rooms and food) but that is understandable given the uniqueness of the experience. Our room was very large and comfortable. The swimming pool is long and fun. Breakfasts are delicious and offer something for every taste. There is a possibility for a massage.

The place was beautifully styled with an amazing view from the 57th floor – sunset was unforgettable. The extra services, all included, made it even better. From airport pick-up to having the same driver throughout, and Maysi, who shopped and cooked for us, it was unlike any experience we’ve had. Directly linked to the shopping mall, which looks new and modern. The mall offers a lot of eateries options and it makes the whole staying experience really convenient and efficient. Value for money.
